Professionally, I am an English teacher, so I guess I would focus more on grammar before looking into plot and characterization. If anyone is interested in acquiring my service, I would expect to be given a rough summary of how you would go with the story, so that I would know how to help you to lay out the things better in case of confusion.

As I gained my experience from marking student's writing, I am very good at noticing spelling mistakes and misuse of grammatical items. I am also good at checking for holes in stories, e.g. anything that doesn't add up in the plot.

As most of the things I have edited/betaread/proofread/marked are my students' works, it would be a new experience for me to beta something chapter by chapter instead of a whole story.

Being an optimistic person who enjoys amusements when I can get them, I prefer to beta stories of romance and/or humour, though I don't mind drama from time to time.

Well... Horror, I think, and maybe Crack fics, as I find good Crack fics very difficult to write.
