I generally read over my own work before submitting it to the site more than once, just to make sure I've got everything. And before I post it, I let it sit a few days, edit it again, and publish the final result. When beta-reading, I would apply the same process to other's work.

My expectations are that the writer submitting their work to be beta-read has some grammar and spelling skills. If they use words like "plz" and "lol" in their work, I will have a much harder time focusing on other problems.

I'm very nit picky, so I don't miss much. Also, if a sentence doesn't flow well, I usually come up with a way to make the passage more flowing.

When the grammar is so horrible I can barely understand it, my thought process immediately shuts down.
