WHO AM I?
I am a Canadian Chinese who was raised in Canada since the age of one and a half. I have tutored foreign students for their aptitude and proficiency tests and have been an Editor-in-Chief of a student bi-monthly magazine in my university days. I also proofed other people's theses papers, although this was more of an informal basis.HISTORY AS A WRITER/READER
Although I have only been posting since joining ff.n, I have been both an avid reader and a writer since I was ten. Authors that I truly enjoy include William Shakespeare, Edgar Allan Poe, Jacqueline Carey, Robert Jordan and Tad Williams. I read primarily Fantasy and Science Fiction, although I do have a soft spot for Edwardian Gothic, Victorian Literature, Steampunk and Cyberpunk genres. I have always been enamoured with Greek, Norse and Gaelic mythology.

* what I consider low level proofing, such as spelling, grammar, and readability. There is potentially some discussion on word choice or awkward phrases.
For those interested, and have thicker skins or are willing to get honest critiques or be questioned beyond the low-level, I am willing to:
*what I consider middle-level proofing such as word-choice, localization of slang, continuity, consistency, emotion and flow.
*what I consider high-level discussions on things like plot, plot-devices, characterization, scientific credibility, social and psychological continuity, metaphors, allegories and mythical references.
HOW I DO THIS
You can send me a Word Document or DocX file. For low-level such as spelling and grammar I use track changes, replacing the words and suggesting replacements. For higher level changes or questions I have, I will highlight the portions in question and make use the comment features.
