I'm currently Beta-ing a few stories, so it's fair to say that I have a pretty good idea of what I'm doing. However, I will admit that I'm picky. If you want me to Beta a story, I'll look it over but I give no guarantees beforehand. It has to have a certain amount of quality before I'll polish it, so don't expect me to take some random conglomeration of a crackfic and turn it into gold. You give me the premium ore, I'll give it the finest sheen.

I have an excellent eye for spelling and grammar, and really making the characters come to life. Also am supposedly pretty good when it comes to fight scenes and story progression.

I've Beta-ed several stories but as of yet I can't really find any particular weaknesses that stand out. I don't mean to sound arrogant, but I haven't gotten any complaints yet about how I do things.

I prefer things that go against the norm. I can help with other characterizations, but bringing the normally unseen sides of characters into the spot light is what I really do well. Given a decent story set in a world I'm familiar with, I can catch just about any mistake you can make. What I really desire in a story to Beta, above all else, is a certain amount of quality. Like I said earlier, I'll only work with good material.

Do not expect me to beta yaoi. Yuri I could be convinced to do, but not yaoi, or crackfics of any type. Humor isn't really my thing. I may know what I'm doing, but I won't accept just any story. I already told you that I'm picky about what I'll work with. I don't expect you to be perfect, hell I expect anyone seeking a Beta to be anything but that, but it has to at least show promise. So young authors with talent are welcome here. Part time authors who can only manage ridiculous crackfics that make no sense and stupid self-inserts, show yourselves the door.
