Writing is not about the words you use. It's about how you connect them. I spend an excessive amount of time checking over my own stories - and have betaed for several friends before now. I have written more words than I care to remember. I have created worlds, people, places - I have formed things never thought possible. I have gotten inside a character's mind until I knew intimately how they would react to each and every situation thrown at them. I understand writing, and it understands me. Cause and effect rules my life and by now, I know exactly which words are the ones that make stories different or normal, brilliant or disappointing, OOC or IC. I write; I tell stories; I imagine amazing things and then create them using a pen and paper; I listen to other's stories constantly; I know exactly what it means to create. That is the kind of beta-reader I am.

I don't mind most plots - no matter how 'out there' they seem. Major kinks will have to be run by me first, I'm alright with minor ones. It's up to you to decide which type of kink it is. Mpregs are all right as long as it is well explained and written - No out of the blue 'Guess what Naruto! What Sasuke? I'm Pregnant!! Great!' type stuff. I won't beta any fanfictions that feature Sasuke as a sadistic bastard. In relation to Naruto or anyone else. In the case of character study - as long as you give good explanations - that's all right. I will usually beta anything that is well written to begin with. I won't write your story for you. The same principle goes with pairings - although I will not beta pairings I know nothing about.
(When I say well written I mean good plot.. good writing. I don't mean out of this world spectacular- I just mean don't give me any crap to Beta all right?)

I am brutally honest more often than not. I am also the type of beta reader who specializes in characterization - so expect me to suggest changes to your story you might not be all that comfortable with. Listen to them, don't reject them straight away. It's important you recognize that I really do know very well how to characterize individuals - and I know what I am doing. Trust me XD. It's your story all the way, but I will suggest things from time to time.

I will do a damn good spelling and grammar editing job- but I am not the best for that. Look for someone else if all you need is that.
Unfortunately - I am also lacking in the area of Japanese language and culture. I will do my best - but I am looking for help with that. Heh. I'm not saying I am horrible at it - just that the Beta job will likely take me slightly longer than others. . . . I have a sense of humor - I just can't write it very well. I'm just saying that I might not understand all jokes the first time I read them. Give me time XP.
