Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I wanted to try beta-reading out and I must say that I point out faults in a frank manner. My style usually sees through grammatical errors and spelling flaws. I specialize mostly with Harry Potter, Twilight, Naruto, Death Note, Prince of Tennis and Gakuen Alice. I would probably not change the writer's writing style until necessary. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I'm good with grammar and synonyms. I narrate a lot, using details every now and then in order for the reader to picture the story itself. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I hate words which are very old and hard to understand. I feel dumb whenever words like those swarm into my mind and I have to pick a huge Webster's dictionary in order to find out the most understandable description that I could find. |
Preferred: types of stories I prefer over others
I prefer stories from Harry Potter, Twilight, Naruto, Death Note, Prince of Tennis and Gakuen Alice. But if there are others that you would want me to look at, it would be okay. |
Would Rather Not: I do not beta for these stories
Definitely no yaoi and yuri fanfictions for me. I can be really choosy in stories and the former and latter are not accepted. |
