Who am I as a betareader? Well, first of all, I am meticulous about spelling and grammar; you should know that. Style, tone and effect are other particularly strong areas of mine. Stories are written to get a message across to an audience, and my ultimate goal as a beta is to make sure that your great ideas are worded the best way possible to make sure you get your point across. I'll read anything - from light, "fluffy" humor to the darkest angst stories. Yaoi, Yuri and Shonen-ai are welcome. Length and rating are of no concern to me. You can expect my categories to increase as I discover new books, games and anime series.

As a note for anime fanfiction writers - I can speak basic Japanese, and if including simple words and phrases is something you like to do, I can help you do that properly.

Spelling, tense forms and grammar are a definite strength. If you feel like you're struggling with this, or you simply don't like correcting it, I can definetly help you out. Wording stories to make sure they make sense is another strength of mine. I am not just a general beta - If I came up in the genre you clicked, it means I am very familier with the fandom in question. I can betaread without changing anything important to the story and preserve your original flair.

Unfortunately, improving awkward story introductions and conclusions is not one of my strong points. I do my best, but oftentimes I have just as much difficulty starting a story as you do. If you feel like a badly-worded opening or closing paragraph is the worst of your troubles, I may not be entirely useful to you.

As I mentioned before, I'll beta-read anything. I have very little in the way of preferences, though I would say that I like humor, romance and angst best, especially ongoing stories. Poetry is always a favorite. But you'll never know if you like a story until you read it...

If I had to pick which stories were "not my cup of tea", I would say that violent action stories best fit this description. I would also prefer not to be given stories that are intended to have no point.
