I am a beta who strives to ensure that all sentences are coherent. I make sure that I not only check for spelling and grammar, but for continuity and flow. I am not just a beta. I am an Editor. That's with a capital E, thank you very much. I am willing to beta any work of fiction, so long as it is among my repertoire of fandoms (see strengths). For a good enough author, I am willing to read any series if they need me to beta a story from that series. I look forward to working with any of you.My style is mostly characterized by my nitpicking style of editing. As Editor I try my best to insure that no incorrect phrase goes unnoticed, no "there" or "to" mistaken for one of it's counterparts. I also have a very critical eye, and always am looking to improve what is already written. While a beta may catch a few mistakes that you missed, and is good for compliments, I am an Editor. I am here to fix ALL mistakes, and to "keep it real", so you won't get a swelled head. If you need to be told of the million-and-one ways to make your story better, then by god, I will just have to insult your writing a million-and-one times.
As an Editor, and not a beta, I cannot ensure the utmost amount of speed. However, I can certainly assure you that my efficiency is top notch, and will complete my end of the bargain as quickly as possible. I am not fast, but I am certainly methodical in my work. I too, however, am open to any and all criticisms. My motto is "Quis custodiet ipsos custodes". When translated to English, this means "Who will guard the guards?" I am human. It is always possible that I may try to involve myself too much. If you are to feel that any part of my editing is a bit too much, feel free not to include it.
I hope that this small pittance of a description is enough to adequately state my many qualities. I hope that you will consider me for your position of Editor.
