I don't have a ton of experience in betaing; but I've been helping my friends out with their stories for years, so I thought I'd try to help others on here out.
Here are some things that you'd need to know about the way I do things if you wish to have me be your beta:
I don't particularity care what kind of story I beta; meaning yaoi, yuri, straight or non pairings are accepted.
When I do beta work for others and I come across something that needs to be fixed, I fix it up; but try to keep how much I change it to a minimum as not to change the writing style of the story.
I try to get the finished work back to the writer within two to three days, sometimes longer depending on how long the chapter is.
I don't like to yell at the authors to hurry up and write the next chapter in their story, but I have had to do that a few times. If you have a time period and you're nearly late for the deadline, I'd send you a pm or so and ask you to hurry up with it. However, if you want to freelance it, I'll be happy to leave you to do your thing and wait for you to send it my way. ^^

My strengths are; spelling and punctuation.

My weakness would have to be that I don't catch all the mistakes that I should, but I try to go over the story multiple times so that I do; not to say that I get all the ones that I missed.

I do have two types of stories that I prefer to beta over the others; they're horror and adventure.

I don't really have any types of stories that I wouldn't mind being a beta for.
