As a beta-reader, I basically do all the normal things; grammar, spelling, sentence structure corrections. I would prefer it if you had all those things down pat already so I can be more free to suggest other things; such as plot-holes, believability, and continuity. I might be a bit critical at times, so please bear with me. ;]

Mostly, I'm better at suggesting improved vocabulary, sentence structure, and believability. I'm also better at characterization since I like to see that characters in a story are well-rounded. Some characters seem to be a bit flat and two-dimensional; i.e. someone who's ALWAYS hyper, cold, or annoyingly happy. That's part of the reason I prefer to beta-read things that are already read over by the author so there aren't as many simple mistakes.

My weaknesses would include grammar and spelling. When I read, I tend to correct those automatically in my head so they don't register correctly. Usually I catch those by my third time over the story. My grammar might be a bit missing too, but it's mostly correct. I might not be able to make your story perfect, but I'll try my best! :D

I love to beta angsty/romantic stories more than anything. Personally, those are my favorite type of fanfiction to read, so naturally, I would like to beta that kind. Fantasy and adventure stories are also interesting, but I would prefer it more if they each a contained a bit of romance. It wouldn't hurt to add a pinch of humor in either.

I absolutely HATE fluffy, mushy, cliche romance fanfiction. I seem to have a natural repulsion to them, especially cliches. If you think your story contains a lot of cliches, it's best not to give it me because then I can't help but give you an earful about fixing it.
