I am Ran-chan, I enjoy reading fanfiction obviously ^_^ I often see lots of fanfic on various sites that could be so much better if someone had just taken the time to read over it and correct mistakes, so i though I'd offer my services as a beta to those who want it. Also it's a good way to read lots of new exciting stories XD I /am/ new at this so I guess I don't really have a 'style' as such I tend to read the story over notice any glaring mistakes correct them and then go back and look a more carefully for anything else I've missed. I am very fussy about characterization though ^^; Uh I think my only expectations of someone wanting my services would be that they are a reasonably nice person who understands I'm not magical and can't send a fic back straight away ^^; also basic writing quality would be appreciated...it's hard to beta read something when the entire thing is awfully written to start with..

I am very good at characterization (so I've been told^^;) I am quite fussy about the way things read and notice when something sounds or is spelt wrong, spelling is one of my strong points ^_^ I will often leave reviews to the point that while the grammer may have been nice and fancy the sentance read horribly wrong....I pick up on certain words a lot as well (I read/write a fair amount of M-reated things..wording is important...)Smut is really a stong point for meXD, I know a lot of people find it hard to write and I can help with this.

I have been known to overlook small spelling errors like 'teh' or 'fo'..^^;, I am also not very good at changing tenses,(third person/first person) However I tend to do both these things whilst reading over my own fics, which I admit I'm to lax about ^^; Also I'm English so pants means something else entirelyXD Seriously though I do use different words for certain things than a fair amount of people on here, it shouldn't really be a problem but I felt you should know ^^

I read and write Yaoi, it's my specialty shall we say XD. I would be willing to consider non-yaoi pairings but nine times out of ten I wouldn't read them. I have no preferances for uke/seme, but I do like romancey stories and as mentioned I'm a sucker for smut XD I would prefer to beta read only for anime/manga I have seen or read (I don't read or write for RL TV programs so I couldn't really beta for them) it makes it much easier when you're familiar with the series and characters, it wouldn't be fair of me to beta something I've never seen. I prefer one-shots but will consider longer stories to.

Necrophilia...accidently read that once..*shudders* other than that I'll read anything, so beta anything ^_^ However more specific to writing style..if you're going to insist on using words like 'cock' and 'fag' or anything else very explicit or degrading I don't like it, I cling to tastefulness despite my perverted nature...
Anyone using Japanese words in an English fic I dislike unless you're willing for me to remove them, I don't mind Itachi calling Sasuke 'Ototou' cause it just sounds more right than 'little brother' but having Naruto reel of long sentances in Japanese when you're writing for an English audience is just annoying.
Also despite writing one story with them, I can't stand OC's. Female versions of male characters also irritate...
