I'm a big reader. I've been on fanfiction for about four or five years now so I've read a lot of different fic for various fandoms and seen all kinds of different stories and am able to recognise the ones that really shine through. I achieved an A grade at A-Level English Lang Lit and am currently studying English Literature and Creative writing at a respected UK university. As a general rule I won't butcher your fics, it's important to me that your fic remains yours and something you can be proud of.

Sentence structure and dialogue are always important to me and I'm able to recognise when these are weak and adjust them to improve the overall quality of the writing. I've been praised in the past on my character development and am able to recognise good and poor character development in the fics I read, I think that it is one of the most important aspects and therefore strive to offer help in this area if needed.

What you can expect from me is a direct and honest approach that will highlight any flaws I find along with an explanation of why I don't think it works that will help you re-assess it yourself and alter it. I will also include some of my own possible altertations that you are free to use if you like. For me, betaing is not only a way to improve one piece of writing but something that helps you recognise your strengths as weaknesses in order to grow as an author. I can appreciate how intimidating it is to put your fic out there for the first time and any comments, suggestions or alterations I make will be done so with respect to both you and your fic.

I'm still learning new things all the time, I'm constantly trying to improve my own writing and anything new I learn will affect how I approach your fics. I have trouble being straight to the point, I've been told I'm too 'wordy' at times so you could end up with a a few long in-depth comments, if you're looking for someone more concise in their responses then you might want to look elsewhere I'm afraid.

Honestly I'll probably read anything, I suppose that I enjoy anything with angst, drama, humour, fluff, romance... as long as it has a good plot and good character development I will read it. I don't mind mature fics but it isn't something I've personally written in the past so I might be a little out of my depth in that department. I love AU's but only if the personalities of characters included still remain true to their canon selves.

Fics in which characters' personalities are completely altered in order to accommodate your plot. For example a generally nice, easy going character being portrayed as an abusive monster, especially if it's a device to make your ship happen. Any fics with characters being extremely OOC aren't really welcome. I really dislike extreme violence so if your fic revolves around lots of it then please don't send it my way.
