I'm new on the scene as a beta reader, so I'm not really sure about my beta style just yet. I understand that, as a beta, I am not the author of the story. I will never try to take control: YOU are the one writing it, so it will remain YOUR STORY. I will always try to be supportive and creative, but I will not try to take control.

I'm honest. You can be absolutely sure I will never lie to you. I'm incredibly perceptive; apparently, that's a good thing in this case. I really look for good detail, vocabulary appropriate to the audience you want to address, character development, and diverse sentence syntax, among other things. I pride myself on good flow: I will try my best to help you get your story to flow smoothly. I'm a pretty good "white board" - you can bounce ideas off me, and I will always have a question ready for you that may just lead you to a new idea!

All the technical aspects of grammar. I won't lie: I've had teachers actually laugh at my horrid grammar skills. My mother even laughs at it. If it's a glaring and painfully obvious mistake though, I can generally spot it. My spelling's usually pretty laughable, as well. But I will always try my best, and look up anything I'm not sure about!

I'm a sucker for a good romance. I love humor; slapstick, sarcasm, ironic, ect; and action is always great. Drama can be fun (so long as I'm not a part of it ^_^). Also anything historical (mainly Greek, American, and European histories, but I'm vaguely familiar with several others). I've read a huge amount of books (not quite so with movies), and I'm wicked at Greek mythology. Oh, and I love fluff! ^-^

I don't do lemons. If you have one in your story, I will still read it, but I will skip the lemon. I'll try to read the dialogue in it, though, and critique that. In my own writing, I rarely go beyond pillow talk. An enormous amount of obscene language won't go over well with me (unless it's for a very short time in your story - that I can deal with). I also don't do child abuse or vivid rape. Generally, I don't do slash (regular or femslash), but I won't reject a story just because of that.
