I am a sixteen year old female who you may call Eleri. :) First off, anyone who would like me to beta for them must reach a few requirements. First, if it has excessive profanity. I don't mind the OCCASIONAL dang or crap, but for me, if it isn't in that character's makeup to swear profusely, then don't use it!
Second, no lemon or slash. At all. Like I said, I am sixteen, and I am of the Christian faith. If it has anything, even indirectly, that points to this, I will not take it.
Third, don't argue with things I've said, please. Unless it's over the placement of a comma and our discussion is going something like this: "ME: You should change it to a dash, instead." "YOU: Actually, I put the comma in at that point because I was trying to emphasize that particular bit." Get it? Good.
Fourth, I reserve the right to choose NOT to accept any fanfiction. I may or may not tell you why. But please, don't take this as me not WANTING any fanfiction to read, it's just ... sometimes I am at my limit of fanfic, or am too swamped, or just don't like the story. K? :)
Now that I have established how mean I can be (-snicker-), let's go on to how nice I can be.
In beta-reading, I will make constructive critiques, not anything that would discourage you. My job is to keep you writing, and writing well. I LIKE to give compliments... it's very difficult to have to tell someone "Oh, hey, this here? Yeah, it can't be like that." But I'm willing to do whatever I can to help with bad grammar and spelling (AND SPACING!) on this site. :)
Remember... books (and fanfiction) are your friends! And so am I - I'm here to help you write better and more realistically (As realistic as fiction can get). :)
