I am a young beta-reader, who simply wishes to help those with poor/lacking grammar and/or spelling. I usually read through things, trying to find any mistakes that I can. My expectations? None, really, I suppose.

Just, when and if I DO beta for you, when I find a mistake, you don't try to find me, and kamekaze my house. Be willing to accept the fact that you can make mistakes. If you start swearing incessantly at me for changing your plot around a little for purposes of it actually transitioning smoothly, I will not beta for you. Ever.

I excel at spelling and grammar. I know what's good from what isn't very, very easily, although I'm fairly sure most people know what's good from what's bad. I know prepositional phrases, basic English and grammar, etc.

I'm not too keen in direct, indirect...things. They confuse me. My adjective use and verb use can sometimes be a bit sketchy. Odd. Eccentric. Stupid, for lack of a better word. Because of that, I'm a bit...off.

I prefer stories that aren't very...cryptic. Short stories. Long, epic stories with 100,000 words each chapter are tedious, for I am only a teenager, and therefore a short attention span. The types I prefer are humor, angst, romance, and friendship. If I read a story that's long, tedious, and with grammar worse than a monkey's, I will probably give up, or something along the lines of it.

Action/Adventure. Stories that swear every. single. sentences. I do swear in my stories, yes. A lot. But not every sentence, I guarantee. Long, drawn-out stories. Ones with chapters that never end. They're just...aggravating after a while.
