I'm a careful reader that's been writing fanfiction for a number of years now. Though nobody is perfect, I strive for the utmost I can give, and so I will pick apart a story for anything I can fix. I will never rewrite the plot of your story, though if I think your plot seems to be stumbling a bit, lacking or simply moving in a way that is difficult to understand, I will often offer an alternative way to write the scene.
My beta-reading style is to look for grammar and spelling errors first, then review the structure and flow of the story.

Proof-reading for grammar mistakes, spelling errors and a good eye for finding inconsistencies and details in a story that are skewed. Keeping the story in the same tense and keeping the writing style clear enough that the reader knows exactly who is thinking/saying what.

Sometimes, I will over-analyze and make corrections I realize later the story really didn't need. I also sometimes linger on small details. Nitpicky, to say the least.

I beta-read almost any genre. I prefer yaoi/homosexual pairings, simply because they keep my interest more, and I have more experience writing and reading for them.

Nothing hetero, simply because I lack the experience to make it believable. I will also not do anything with OCs.
