When it comes to beta-reading, I am more of a grammer person as opposed to a content person. Meaning I'm not much use when it comes to making sure the characters are in character; unless, of course, I'm very familiar with the subject matter or it's glaringly odvious.

My style is to just do the corrections myself, and send the corrected document back then allow the author to make any additional changes. I'm not sure if that's how everyone does it or not as I don't use a beta-reader myself.

And finally, as far as my expectations go, I expect the author to at least attempt to make a few corrections themselves before they give the stories to me.

As an after thought, one of my worst pet-peeves is text-talk in stories unless they're actually texting, and even then it gets on my nerves. So please don't send me a story if you have a tendency towards such things. I also don't care what the rating is.

As I said in my profile, my main strength is grammer.

My weakness is characterization. Unless I'm really tired when I write or I'm a fanatical fan of a show, my characters all sound monotone. It's the same thing with my original works; my characters have no personality.

Yuri/Lesbian/Femslash, whatever you want to call it, I prefer to read and write stries about girls loving girls. I also like action and humor, and I will do het stories as well. Also, I'm a big fan of anime so I guess that entire genre can be added to my preferred list.

Yaoi, Bondage, and Gore/Maiming/Guts flying everywhere. I don't want to do yaoi because I don't watch, read, or write yaoi. Bondage because, I'm just not into that kind of thing for many reasons. Gore/ect. because, while I like slasher/horror movies as much as the next person, for some reason I can't stand to read them.
