I am a writer, and altogether an adquate beta-reader. Not as critical as others that I know of that do this sort of thing on a daily basis. When asked to Beta to anyone, all I ask is that you credit me (ie: include my penname in the intro. of the story or chapter), and be polite to the suggestions that I make on the requested story/chapter(s).

As a writer, my strenghts are details to discriptions and charcters. As a beta, I would guess that it would hold true to that as well. I also exel at finding synonyms for things, but then again, the internet could do that to.

Rewriting things,(words and sentenses) from awkward to flowing melodic images is also an iron strong area of strength for me.

As a writer, I absoultly suck as a speller. Grammer and Punctuation isn't to far down from the top of the list of weaknessess either. I can't handle it as a writer, it's almost as if I'm to close to the story and I can't find that weakness in the words of sentense.

As a Beta, I'm not all that bad at it. I know for sure that I'm not as critical and microscopic to every single word, nit-picking through it with a fine tooth comb as some of the English majors that I know. However, I get the job done.
