Hello. I have never actually been a beta for anybody other than my close friends. I beta for my best friend who is currently writing a story and planning to send it off to have her story published (hopefully) when it is complete. Her husband to be is also currently writing a fictional story and I am his beta as well. I do not expect much of anybody, but I do hope that they know grammar to an extent, as well as dialog. Of cause once something is complete, it can get tiring to re-read it over and over again to check everything, so mistakes are bound to be located somewhere lol.

I guess I am very picky about dialog. Without the communication between characters being expressed correctly, the story can go shockingly wrong, so I tent to focus on that area more than the others. I generally like to use different words to explain the way the characters are speaking, if you constantly have 'said' or 'sighed' or words in general used every time a character speaks, it can become tedious and pretty boring to read. I am also quite good at plots, twists and 360 degree turns lol. I tend only to give my opinion if asked for it though, after all, it is not my story.

I guess the weakest part I have is grammar. I know I have missed some before now, but on the whole, I hope I do an okay job lol.

I don't mind most stories to be honest, but I guess I prefer to beta stories that involve some sort of romance (I do not mind slash). Crime takes my interest as well at the moment, but that might just be a phase lol.

Flashback stories! I do not mind a flashback here and there, but i know some people have one every 2 chapters and i end up never finishing the story. They annoy me after a while. Erm, i don't really think there is anything else. Oh, stories that after about two characters who are completely the opposite, suddenly falling in love. Come on, i'm sorry, but if i hated somebody with all my might, i would not suddenly wake up, see them (like every other day) and magically think 'whoa, me like'. Those annoy me too lol.
