I'm a senior at UC Santa Barbara, physical anthropology major... I've always been a bookworm, so I suppose creative writing is a natural path for me to take. I don't have time to write a huge story myself, but I've always been good at editing, so being a beta reader sounds like a great idea. I suppose my style is basically to edit for grammar, continuity, and offer general constructive criticism. If you want to make an offer, I do ask that you be prepared to finish the story and not leave it abandoned halfway through.

I'm excellent with grammar, vocabulary, editing in general... I have a great mind for details of books, so if I've read it I'll know if you got a detail wrong. I worked in a law office for a while, and spent a lot of time editing legal briefs, plus I've worked as an assistant to an English teacher and graded essays. I really like unique stories - if it's something I can get really enthusiastic about, then it'll be that much better!

Sometimes if I really like the story it'll be hard to find criticism... if I just read it over several times, though, it'll be fine.

Basically stories about The Phantom of the Opera or Harry Potter.

I don't really do slash in the main pairing, and I generally keep away from truly graphic bedroom scenes - like the violent stuff. Nothing that's horribly AU unless it's very well thought out, and just keep the cheesy saccharine-sweet badly written romance AWAY!
