I tend to use Microsoft Word and the comments feature when I'm beta-reading. If you are asking me to Beta any of your stories, please include a summary of the story plus any warnings so I can get an idea of what I am getting myself into. Most requests will be accepted, dependant on warnings. I use the British English language, so I might have to ask you to confirm something if it's American English.
Turn-around time depends on the length, my aim is a maximum of two weeks for a single chapter.
I don't really like slash, though if it is not strong slash I will beta-read it.

Grammar and spelling (British English), some plot if required, some characterisation.

Not familiar with Americanisms. Can end up with a backlog depending on my schedule and how much work I have to do.

Gentle to mild romance (nothing too strong please), action, adventure, family, friendship, hurt/comfort, humour, general, drama, some poetry, angst, mystery, sci-fi/fantasy, tragedy, crime, minimal swearing.

Refuse to touch strongly horror stories, very graphic sexual/blood-and-guts stories, supernatural. Not a lot of strong swearing.
