I'm currently studying English and Creative Writing at a British university, so not only do I have a good grasp of spelling and grammar, I can Britpick too. As someone looking into proof-reading professionally as a career, I take beta-reading seriously: I won't sign myself up for a fandom unless I have seen every episode, read every book in the series, watched the cast interviews and generally have levels of knowledge about the characters only commonly found in stalkers. If it's not well researched, I don't want my name on it. (The only exception for this is books by Tanith Lee, which refers only to the Piratica series.)

If you contact me asking for a fic to be beta-d I'll get back to you within a few days, unless my university schedule gets in the way, in which case I'll send you a PM to explain where exactly I am. There's a saying that you can have it done right or you can have it done right now. I aim for both, but the first will always be my main priority.

No matter what I think of your fic, if you come to me for help I will be polite and constructive. My comments however, while constructive, will be critical. I'm not afraid to tell you where you're going wrong.
