My focus as a beta-reader is on spelling, punctuation and grammar. Depending on what fandom it is being written in, to some extent, characterization. I can be brutally honest and I have a tendency to suggest many other things that can be suited better, though you don't have to take them. I will take apart all Mary-Sue's and/or Gary-Stu's, so be prepared for it. My mode of criticism is that I will talk about the good things, and then the bad things and what needs to be improved on. I don't like rude people or homophobes.

I think that one of the best things about writing is characterization. With it, even the stupidest plot can become the best story. I am quite adept with characters and have quite an array of them. I also tend to have the ability to have a character stay in character. I try to make my writing as fluid as I can and make sure that it all connects. I also tend to research a lot of things and get all my facts straight before I start writing so as not to make mistakes and therefore anger a community.

I don't have any experience as a beta-reader. That is the one big thing. I have a low tolerance of bad characters and can be quite terrible about them. I tend to suggest a lot of things that I think would fit better, but it might clash with some opinions and if you don't want to go with it, then by all means don't.

I would prefer to do stories in my area of expertise or stories that are in the fandoms I am well acquainted to. Some of these fandoms include, but are not limited to: Saiyuki, D.Gray-Man, GetBackers, Kingdom Hearts, Hikaru no Go, Final Fantasy X, Loveless, Harry Potter, Godchild, Angel Sanctuary, Count Cain, Peacemaker Kurogane, Crisis Core, From Eroica With Love, XXX Holic, Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles, Ouran High School Host Club, Petshop of Horrors, Rurouni Kenshin etc. I specialize in drabbles and not so much chapter fics, since that is mostly what I write, but I can take on chapter stories as well.

I will not betaread homophobic stories and I would really, really, REALLY prefer not to do Fruits Basket fics (long story; if you really want to know, I can say so in a PM, but be prepared for a long rant). I will do basically anything, as long as I know the fandom well enough. I don't want to give anyone bad advice.
