In a word (or two), constructive criticism. I'll praise what's good and I'll tell you why I think it works (nothing like a bit of praise to keep the motivation running). I'll also mention what doesn't work and do my best to help you improve it.

An eye for detail. Picking up on inconsistencies is one of my specialities; if at the beginning of your story, you mention a character is left-handed and later he is wielding a weapon in his right, I will notice. This also extends to plot-holes and other loose ends in stories that sometimes get forgotten about. Spelling, grammar and style are also my strong points.

Coming from the UK my forte is certainly British English, although American and Canadian spelling conventions are not a problem. Not really a weakness as such, but I figured it's something I should mention.

Fanfiction in the Final Fantasy VII, VIII or X domain is my strong point, although I will beta other stories provided I'm familiar with the game/anime/book etc. Send me a message if you'd like me to beta something outside of these domains, as it's quite possible I know enough about it to be able to beta it effectively. I'm pretty open with regard to genre.

Stories where characters are very OOC; the reason for this is that this leaves me unsure of what direction the writer wants to take the characters in and makes it harder for me to beta, although I won't flat out reject a story on the basis of it being OOC.
