As a beta, I read over the story once while highlighting any errors, then read the fic again. Once any obvious spelling or gramatical errors have been fixed, I start anaylsing the actual flow of the story. As for people whom I beta for? I just wish for an author that has an open mind for suggestions and is serious when it comes to their work, and the emotions their story awakens within the reader. I enjoy betaing a great deal and look forward to helping authors publish work they can be proud of.

I am quite good with poetry, and matching up rhyming words and phrases. I'm aslo quite helpful with correcting formal and informal dialog, and using words to help create a certain 'feeling' the author in question might be looking for. I am also fairly good with synonyms.

I do my best, but do not excel in characterization. Though that seems to be more with my own stories, than fics I am betaing.

I have no specifics when it comes to fics I enjoy betaing, aside from the fact that I wish the author has edited their fic at least once already and that they point out WHY they wish for a beta. Is there a certain area they feel dosen't flow right? All I ask is that an effort has been made on behalf of the author.

I especially enjoy family bonding moments, or fics that make you 'think'. Fics that take a different look at a senario or event in a fandom or fics with a twist in their plot.

Once again, I enjoy most styles of writing and genres, as long as the author puts effort into their work.
