Well as a beta-reader, I'm a stickler for grammar (Microsoft Word's Spell Check is my B.F.F.!), and that's about it. I'm pretty easy on every thing else. Like, I wouldn't tell a person how to write their story. I feel if an author added certain elements to their story, it's obviously for a reason. That's it.

I usually come up with original plots, or if the plot is overused, then I'll just switch it around to fit my twisted imagination. I also love fashion, so I'll usually "dress up" horribly dressed characters from Anime into something more "fashion-worthy". LoL!

Music is BIG inspiration for my writing. I listen to a lot of urban music (R&B mostly) and the lyrics in the songs usually inspire scenes and events in my fiction.

My lack of extensive vocabulary sucks big time. I have a tendency to use repetitiveness throughout my fictions. (shrugs) Oh well, I don't like the words they provide on thesaurus.com. Characterization is a major pain in the rear. I try to keep the characters in-character since I know how people always complain about characters not being true to their original Anime identities. (shrugs) Oh well, no one's complained about it yet, so...

I never claimed to be the best author, but I know I'm not the worst, either. I'll be darned if I'm going to "talk down" on my fictions for the sake of bringing up other authors. Nor am I going to compare my stories to other authors; I'm just me, and I think that reflects in my writing. Don't like it? Go read someone else's story. For those of you who have stuck by my writing and deemed me "good enough" (LoL) for your tastes, thank you. It's greatly appreciated!
