Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I've only just started calling myself a "Beta" haha All my friends just called me the "Editor"
I don't really have a style - I just bring up what I think needs changed and give a few sugesstions - everything is up to the author (unless it's something like grammer).
Expectations? Hmmm...well, I'm willing to help authors of any skill level. From those who spell jump J-U-M-B (LONG story) to those who just need someone to go over and see if there's anything they happened to miss! ^ - ^ |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
Grammer. I'm good at catching grammers mistakes such as when someone puts "Good" instead of "Well" or "to" when they should have typed "too". |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
Honestly I'm not all that great at spelling. I might miss one or two misspelled words by accident. |
Preferred: types of stories I prefer over others
I like all types (angst, drama, romance, general). I do prefer to help in areas where I have a background though:
Naruto, Kingdom Hearts, Vampires, Twilight (New Moon, Eclipse, Breaking Dawn), Harry Potter, Tsubasa, xxxHolic and so on. I am willing to give others a shot though! |
