I was a declared English major in college before I switched to Fine Arts. I've always been a stickler for proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation. In my own work I re-read every chapter at least three times to make sure I don't miss a single thing. I can offer fine tuning and/or general sweeps of chapters and stories for any author that asks. I rarely am unreliable with deadlines if the author asks to have a story or chapter beta read within a certain time frame. If it is a very complex or long story (not a one shot) then expect it to not be fully read and/or re-read for about a week, sometimes longer depending on certain things. I excel mainly with fantasy stories, movies, books and most poetry. I studied literature for a long time and I enjoy really any good book or poem that comes along. Anime stories are quite alright for me to beta read, but since I've been doing that particular genre for so long I tend to beta other genres first. That doesn't mean I will not take in an anime stories. I like all fanfic fanatics, I enjoy a good Inuyasha, or Bubblegum Crisis story as much as the next. My current fixations however are definitely Labyrinth and Rurouni Kenshin. I take in a lot of movie fan fiction as well. I'm pretty open about what the basis of material is that I read. I like fine tuning humor, romance, but especially tragedies.

I often tend to find myself when beta reading or reading a story in general to not like sappy OOC. I like the characters the way they were originally portrayed and to see someone like Sesshomaru being a goof is just...so wrong. Fan fiction is writing a story with characters you love. I DO NOT like OOC characters I suppose in general because why would you ever want to change those who you love enough to take the time and write about their lives or adventures? I tend to get critical when I'm reading OOC and its a weakness I don't always try to correct so I apologize if that turns any writer away from my services.

Tragedies are by far my favorite type of writing. I love fine tuning, combing over everything that makes a tragedy a tragedy. They're just always so deep and most of the time artistically written to really portray the sorrow and strife the characters go through that would not normally happen in whatever book or cartoon they originally came out of. I also love humor and I love raw romances. Especially when the writer can transition a relationship between enemies or bitter rivals into one of friends or lovers. I prefer epics that have a rugged burning core that fans out into cooler paths of characters interactions. I love the psychologically complex and I love being able to really analyze a character and their stance within the plot line. Good dialog is a must as well.

I don't like toilet humor. I don't know why really it just never appealed to me. It is funny in it's own way, but its just not for me. I also don't like a story that loses its way with too many complex paths. I especially do not like mysteries. I love solving puzzles and riddles, I'm actually quite good at them, but I do not like having to do so throughout the entirety of the book or story I'm reading.
