Any documents I edit I will send back with corrections/suggestions in a different color unless you absolutely do not wish me to do so. However, I firmly believe that the author should have the final say in any changes I may make or suggest. Blind faith may sound nice, but I've been writing original fiction (unpublished) with my best friend for over four years, and while we think very similarly and know each other's characters well, sometimes you want something written in a certain way for a reason, and I understand that.

I'm very much a grammar!Nazi and spelling!Nazi. I'm also pretty good at making sure that sentences vary so that prose flows well and doesn't sound stilted, and 'Thesaurus' is my not-quite-middle-name.br /br /

I'm also pretty good at poking holes in your plot if you discuss them with me beforehand. I make a fairly good sounding board and do occasionally have interesting ideas.

I may occasionally miss plot holes. It's something I'm working on paying better attention to. I also acknowledge that I'm no good at reading and rereading something over and over again, unless it's been completely overhauled. I can't beta anything I write myself worth crap. I'm fairly good at catching anything I'm going to catch on the first or second run-through, though. After that, if the changes are minor, chances are I may not catch them.

I'm a pretty big slash fan, and I'm not particularly queasy about various kinks/warnings. I'm okay with betareading anything involving non-con, etc. I do enjoy romance fics, especially with a good dose of action/adventure and drama. I also enjoy family and friendship fic. Romance isn't required though. Genfic is good too.

While I do read some het, I'd appreciate it if you run the pairing by me first. It's probably always a good idea to check pairings anyway, because there are some slash pairings I'd rather not touch with a ten-foot pole. I'm an odd cookie, and don't generally enjoy reading humor fic, so please don't be offended if I turn it down. Certain types of crack!fic are okay in mild doses every once in a while.
