As we remember from the movie, Hana tries to find Ame in the forest. She stumbles and falls in a landslide leaving her unconscious, but what if she falls into coma? So, what do you think will happen next? Find out!

What if Ookami wasn't the one to have died? What if it was Hana who had perished on that day instead? And how would Ame and Yuki's futures be altered as the result of them being raised by their father instead of their mother? (A retelling of the movie, switching Hana and Ookami's roles).

Years have passed since the family parted all through different paths. We follow Yuki's story, now starting high school. Struggling to keep her wolf nature in and meeting up again with Souhei. As well make new friends along the way. She will encounter her brother again, Ame. And problems will rise up with her mother. How will Yuki be able to handle all this?

It's the final night before Christmas break and Yuki ends up making the decision to reveal her secret to her best friend, Shino. However, before that can happen ... Shino has something personal of her own to share. Two-Shot.

We all know the events of the movie. Yuki choosing to live among people, Ame choosing to live in the wild, but we learn there was one part of her story before that was not true. That rainy night in the school when Ame left, Yuki never told Souhei the truth, and he never told her he knows.

There's a glimmer of unexpected surprise, when one finds out that not all mythological creatures have stayed without mixing into a new species. Aquatic wolves are not common, but sometimes the ability to be a river wolf is a burden or a hassle more than others expect, especially when a human discovers one.

Yuki put on a brave face when her son, Natsu, followed in his uncle's footsteps, but she's not sure that she'll be able to, when her youngest daughter eventually chooses that path as well.

Hana never expected to go to college, fall in love, and get married.

Secrets could build up and up and up, until finally they bubbled over in some way, whether anger or something else entirely.

Yuki isn't sure if some of the last words that her brother, Ame, told her were true about her. It haunts her at night, when she tries to sleep. What if they were true?

Ame agrees to help an especially cute veterinarian track down a wolf. This isn't going to end well, is it?

Years after Yuki tells Souhei her secret, the two of them end up welcoming two of their own children into the world. Now, Souhei has an important question to ask about their babies. (One-Shot/Headcanon).

"Ame, do you like this boy?" Hana treated the question with a seriousness that was rarely seen from her countenance. This is a story in which Souhei makes Ame question further where he really belongs. Is he meant to be a wolf, after all?

I've had a number of people on other sites who have expressed interest in reading my work, but I don't like to link my Wolf Children fanfiction to people who haven't seen the movie. Well, I decided that since it's nearly impossible to find the movie online, I would write up a full on synopsis of it for those who can't watch it or want a refresher of the plot.

A girl with a strange ability and a boy who is half-beast, they come from two realities that couldn't be more different. However, as diverse as they were, they understood each other best. Silently, effortlessly, like holding your hand out to help someone, it's easy to change someone's world.

What if the roles were reversed? What if Hana was the half-human and animal hybrid... a bear perhaps? What if Ookami was the student she meet and fell in love with by mistake?
