Naofumi Iwatani, un joven pueblerino que vive en la capital del reino de Melromarc es envuelto en un gran problema al encontrarse con un moribundo héroe portador del escudo, pues acepta convertirse en el nuevo héroe del escudo. Ahora deberá enfrentar su destino y tratara de liberar a su mundo de las injusticias impartidas por la santa iglesia y las amenazas de las olas oscuras.

Naofumi didn't know what to expect when he woke up in Melromarc. He'd expected an adventure. What he got was a betrayal. Now an outcast, Naofumi roams the land in hopes of getting stronger and try to live a somewhat decent life. Along the way, he meets new people who join him for they each have a reason to go on a journey. Then they learn something. The Gods have awakened.

So...what good does to an almost-30-year-old man, getting transported to another world? Not much and maybe even less of my own memories of that trip, thus now I'll write down everything to the best of my effort of what I can remember of that travel.
