When Takashi dies, he dies young, like his grandmother and his parents. He is eighteen years old and newly graduated from high school. He takes a year off before going to college. He loves his home far too much to abandon it so easily. When Takashi dies, he comes home. The yōkai no longer speak about Natsume Reiko.

THIRD CHAPTER OUT! After their long friendship Tanuma decides to leave village for the better. In his absence Natsume realizes his feelings for him, his weakness and fears. Years later Tanuma returns to take over his father's shrine, and to reveal the true reason of his disappearance. In the meantime Natori also shows up and trouble begins. Based on the Aerosmith track "Dream on".

New threats arise in the world of spirits. Natsume's peaceful life is on the verge of ending as he becomes entangled in the war among exorcists and uncovers new secrets about his past. In the middle of it all is the ever-elusive Natsume Reiko.

"Oh, Seiji, wait up— you've got something in your hair."

In a sleepy village above a large mountain, a rumour begins to spread. More and more people from the village are disappearing and no one knows the cause. Eventually, the rumours start to spread in certain circles, and Natori is contacted about the issue. It's a much bigger case than he's had before, and enlists the help of Natsume. No more lies, no more pretenses.

"Lets keep it a secret!" Taki shouted eyes closed. Natsume stared at her with a dumbstruck face.

Spirits are disappearing. And Natsume's only lead are rumours and whispers that might end up being bigger than Natsume can handle himself.
