The three Amamiya Kyodai lost their parents. They maintain an affectionate brotherhood. Takeru was the one who taught them to fight. Takeru went missing. Watanabe Hikari crossed their path. Smokey is searching for his family. He ends up in Hokkaido to unfold the truth. There he crosses path with a detective, and the action starts there. Lala, Takeshi and Pi are dragged into the story. It happens after the battle between the SWORD with the Iemura group and the might warriors. Even after the Amamiya brothers found their 3rd brother.

There's personal angst (this is not new with Cobra, but Yamato doesn't do it nearly as well), angst about people (Noboru is in the /hospital/), angst about protecting a town (when isn't there?), and the (obvious, previously known) conclusion that Iemura-kai are /assholes/. And somehow Yamato manages to conclude that Cobra doesn't care about any of this, which is completely untrue.
