The Virginian and Trampas are out on a cattle drive when a group of "rustlers" shoot and wound the Virginian. The shooting draws the attention of The Lone Ranger who as he works to bring the rustlers to justice uncovers an old war conspiracy that the Virginian may have been mixed up in.
