What kind of fanfiction do I read?

Well for the short answer, go to my favorites... I like almost every genre. But mostly I read Cannon couples, Human, and obviously a happy ending. I might read something that its not under that category only if its impossibly well written. As you might have figured out, I love smut as well... I think its the perverted part in me that refuses to come out in normal life that feeds this little smut addiction, but I just love a good story that has some sexing in it... a story that has senseless sex will also turn me off.

In short I read almost everything so if you wanna recommend a story to me PM me!! :D

What kind of fanfiction DO I NOT read?

Nothing were Charlie/Carlisle/Dumbledore, any sort of father figure is abusive in any way! (I really would never image them to be like that)

Non-cannon couples i.e.Rosalie/Edward, Bella/Jasper, etc (Never gonna happen, cringe every time...)

BDSM (I respect the lifestyle but for the life of me I just don't understand why someone would like to be humiliated and abused by a loved one, can't even begin to explain how much it bugs me when stories that I love dabble into this little aspect without warning. This is a hard one, because I feel that lately, EVERYONE is doing BDSM fics)

Any fic where they just go around and around in circles... ie Bella and Edward together, not together, back together, Lauren kisses Edward and Bella storms off and they break up, then back together again. (-_-') you get my meaning?

What am I partial to?

Slash- This one conflicts with my only cannon couples rule, but, I am open to any gay/lesbian/bi stories out there, as long as they are done with respect and well written. However, I don't generally go around looking for slash fics, but if I stumble upon one then so be it :).

Rape/Abuse- Ok, the idea of Bella being abused and raped by James, Victoria, even JACOB!! (WTF?!) waaayy too cliche at this point. I get that some fics are a form of self-expression and therapy and I respect that. But, I just feel like its way too overdone. My main problem with these fics is that Bella is this broken, shell of a person that Edward always brings back to life...usually that's not how it happens. A person who suffers from abuse needs to help themselves- yes with the support of loved ones- and not really on another person completely, that just defeats the purpose of really healing. THAT SAID.. I have read and will continue to read fics with abuse if done correctly.

You're probably thiking "Karla, you are such a hypocrite! You have this on your favorites!"

well, let me explain... I will read something that might be in my HELL NO list, but its generally because I am in love with the writing, and if I have it there its for a very good reason: PLOT OVERCOMES MY DISGUST FOR THE ISSUE.

this does not happen often... I can't tell you how many fics I've started reading that end up disappointing me when they get into one of my no lists... but they do, as well as many fics that everyone raves about that I would die to be able to read but I can't due to my dislike for the topic, I've tried, really I have... can't bring myself to do. Besides, fanfiction is here to enjoy! not to force myself to read something or explain why I like or not!

ANNOUNCEMENT: FOREVER IS WHERE WE MEET ON HIATUS!

Yes, yes I really have tears in my eyes as I write this, but I feel like I owe you guys an explanation. I started this story a very very long time ago and I feel like I've lost track of what I set out to do. So much has happened in the past year that I can say that my life is nothing like what drove me to write that particular story, and that has been the reason why writing has been so sporadic. However, the initial outline is still intact, I just have to find the will to write it. That being said I have to emphasize:

I AM NOT ABANDONING THE STORY!

But I do want to let you guys know that I will not be updating any time soon. I have decided after spending more than 2 months working on the same chapter to finish the story before I update again. So here is the deal: I will continue to write the story and edit it, and once I am done writing the complete story I will update ALL the chapters a week apart from each other.

I know you're probably wondering.. "Well why are you telling us this? Why not just update?"

Well I just wanted to give you guys and update and tell you what was going on, and tell you that I appreciate every review and PM about this story. I really hope you guys don't give up on me, leave Forever is where we meet on your alerts list, and you wont regret it when I have everything done.
