My name's Dan, and it's been a very long time.

Since last you saw me (that is, if anybody is still around since last I wrote anything here), I got a book published. Unfortunately, it tanked really dang hard and I've learned a few things about professional publishing. I aim to write more books professionally, but I want to have some fun writing something for writing's sake and here I am again. I won't say that I've rediscovered anime in the last decade and a half, but I'm enjoying some where I haven't for a long time and I've got a few ideas for stories that you might enjoy.

I'm not as familiar with my old shows as I used to be, so I wouldn't count on updates to my old stories anytime soon. Yu Yu Hakusho especially. That was the franchise that I wrote the most for literally half my life ago (I'm 30 and I feel old) and to be honest, while I've had ideas for continuing my last remaining story or starting new ones, I think that I'm ready to officially close that chapter of my writing career. And I'm still a bit ashamed of the old stuff that, fate willing, has been scoured from the internet. The Mary Sues, the self-inserts, the failed attempts at romance... you all have my apologies if you remember any of those. It's probably for the best that I leave YYH alone.

But hey. One Punch Man is pretty cool. And with the new season being released as we speak, it seems like a good time to write something for it. Maybe more than one if my first try goes over well enough. I intend to write several chapters in advance before I release anything, which should give me time to proofread and edit things, and it should ensure a consistent product. I used to upload chapters as soon as I finished writing them, and it showed. I also focused on five stories at once, which... well, that also showed. That's a great way to lose the drive to update stories, isn't it? Spreading yourself thin like butter over too much toast.
