![]() Author has written 7 stories for Twilight. Check me out on: www.fictionpress.info/~niamh929 My name is said Ne-eve. It's Gaelic and of course it's not my real name. My real name is Gaelic, too, but much more boring. It's actually a very well known name just not a common name. Here's my disclaimer: You write a story and "publish it" online. It's yours. I understand that and, as an author myself, I understand all the painstaking work you have put into it. BUT ... you need to learn how to take criticism. Other readers are not here just to tell you that you suck. We're here to help you refine your ideas and work on your language/grammar skills. If you don't like the fact that I have no problem sending you a review that consists of me correcting your grammar then don't read my review but if you except your work to be coherent ... you probably should pay attention. Take my advice, I've been studying the English language for longer than some of you have been alive. On that note ... if you need a beta. PM me but (as Alice_Laughed says) if you honestly want help you are going to get it. Don't disregard what I am saying. And don't waste my precious free time. So I've been told that my profile is not complete enough ... alright ... here goes. I'm 27 and a high school english teacher who uses fanfiction as a way to escape from having to think about straight up classic literature ALL DAY LONG! When I'm not teaching high schoolers how not to sound like idiots (yeah I do ... awful right?), I'm a writer. I free lance for many magazines and newpapers (without knowing it, you may have already read something I've written). Hopeful, I'll have something (i.e. a novel) published by the end of next year. Anything else you want to know ... ask. Favorite books: Harry Potter (Rowling), Twilight Series (Meyer), Black Dagger Brotherhood (Ward), The Sword of Truth series (Terry Goodkind), Anna Karenina (Tolstoy), Poison Study and Magic Study (Synder) and just about anything I can get my hands on Music: almost anything ... right now ... I'm into Muse's new CD, old stuff by Save Ferris and Dance Hall Crashers and always in love with the Dropkick Murpheys. "Isn't it odd how much fatter a book gets when you've read it several times?...As if something were left between the pages every time you read it. Feelings, thoughts, sounds, smells...and then when you look at the book again many years later, you find yourself there too, a slightly younger self, slightly different, as if the book had preserved you, like a pressed flower... both strange and familiar." - Inkheart A Rose By Any Other Name links: Carlisle's Car (that Edward drives to Buffalo and Rosalie ruins the door on) Send Me A Song links: Alice's Dress in Send Me A Song (imagine it in yellow) Bella's Dress in Send Me A Song (think sapphire blue) Finding Beauty links: Bella's dress in Finding Beauty (It's actually the dress I'm wearing to my cousin's wedding in July except I got it in a creamy peach with a black sash) Alice's dress in Finding Beauty Rosalie's dress in Finding Beauty (oddly enough, the model is almost exactly what I thought Rosalie would look like (minus the spray on tan, of course) Angela's dress in Finding Beauty Lauren's dress in Finding Beauty (imagine it in red though) | |||||||
