It's Stacy's birthday, and the kids are preparing special presents to give her. But when Dan's present suddenly vanishes, Mr. Conductor and the children must work to create something new - although Stacy's real gift may already be right there all along...

Schemer and Schemee find out that learning something new isn't always easy, but the outcome is often rewarding.

In wake of a tragic event, Schemee swears that he will do what he can to help his Uncle Schemer.

Prequel/Immediate Sequel to Understanding and Promises, three part series. Feeling the affects of the aftermath of the "Paul fiasco", Schemer is comforted by his nephew, Schemee, with a tale that he cannot remember. The two revisit a time when Schemee was hitting a low point in his life, and needed a momentous occasion to repair damaged relationships.

The day's unusual events leave Schemer and Stacy feeling restless. Not that they remember any of the specifics, that is.

Matt becomes Becky's 2nd best friend for life and 1 true love right after they sing a dedication song called 'Love Survives' from 'All Dogs Go to Heaven' (1989) at Becky's 1st best friend for life, Dan Jones' memorial service.

It's a new beginning at Shining Time Station, and ever since Dan Jones, Ginny Johnson and Midge Smoot passed away and Stacy retired to spend more time with the new kids, Matt is now in charge of the station manager's desk, his wife, Becky is now in charge of the fortune telling business and Kara is now in charge of the farming business. Matt, Becky and Kara are now in their 30s.

Dan knows J.B. King is proud of him for standing up for himself and protecting someone smaller, but what will his Aunt Stacy think when she returns to Shining Time Station? He quickly learns that there's no greater reward for courage than knowing his aunt is proud of her nephew with the mighty heart. "Deleted scene" from S3E03, "Bully For Mr. Conductor."

On Ari Magder's headstone, there's a line from Candle in the Wind. That gave me an idea of how the Jukebox Band would pay their own tribute to Dan. If Elton John can rewrite this song for Princess Diana, the band can do it for Dan.

Kara and Becky have gathered together at the cemetery to reflect on the loss of one of their own. Dedicated to the memory of Ari Magder.

Schemer's trickery has gone too far this time. Stacy and Billy help him realize that even friends have limits.
