A serial killer is running free in the city. And Steve is targeted as the next victim. Steve-whump, obviously.

Written as part of the Lockdown with Keeley Fanfiction Challenge on Tumblr for the prompt "are you jealous?" Angsty Lindsay/Dryden. She finishes putting in her earring and turns on her heel. "Oh. You? You have the right to be jealous? Who's the one who always went home to an empty bed?"

"Mike, we, uh… I need to tell you something." She avoids looking at him, her fingers play with the long, loose sleeve of her shirt. Her tone makes him uncomfortable and he takes a half step backwards. "I'm..." she looks up, trying to meet his eyes and now it's him who's avoiding her. "I'm pregnant..." Just some Lindsay Denton angst. One shot.

"Just don't tell the others, I'd hate for them to think I'm playing favourites." "Oh, I'm very good at keeping secrets," Lindsay said before his intense eye contact had made her look anywhere else. "So, what about yourself: wife, husband, kids, mistress?" she'd asked with a laugh at the end to try and disguise how desperate she was to know. Two shot of how Denden started.

Steve becomes a victim to a hypnotism.

With Kate finding her day at work hard, Lindsay makes a promise to help lighten her spirits when she gets home.

Superintendent Hastings offers Steve a room to stay in his new home after Steve's flat is broken in by unknown intruders.

Finally got around to writing a story about how Dryden and Lindsay may have spent their time together. It involves some hurt Lindsay and caring Dryden. (If that's a thing that could ever be imagined.)

Steve has not been so lucky in love. Even his latest love interest has deadly consequences. Steve-whump, obviously.

Steve goes missing. Again. A Steve-whump, obviously.

During a drive home one night, Steve encounters something he cannot explain.

After Steve is assaulted in a carpark, he doesn't tell the entire truth about the incident in his official statement in order to protect someone.

Even on his day off, Steve is still a working police officer. And a confrontation with a knife wielding man in a supermarket hit something too close to home.

Steve gets caught in a blast downtown. It later leads to Kate finding out more about his personal background.

Steve refuses to get involve in the latest case for AC-12, and the reason has everything to do with a dark incident in his past.

Steve is found after he has gone missing for two days. The only problem is, it only raises more questions than answers. Steve-whump, of course.

While in the middle of an interview, Steve gets violently sick. And the cause of it is a lot more sinister than he initially thought.

Steve is caught by surprise at the home of a witness.

Steve has just been exonerated from the wrongful charge of murder. Kate comes to his cell to take him home.

Steve has to jump into the cold river to rescue the occupants of a sinking minivan.

Steve falls ill in the middle of a case, but he doesn't want Kate or the gaffer to know about it.
