It all felt so surreal; he could feel himself sobbing like a baby in Roy's arms, but at the same time he felt a million miles away. He knew what just happened but part of him felt numb, shellshocked. In the episode "Surprise," Johnny is caught in a gas explosion. The next scene shows him lying in a hospital bed. But this is "Emergency!" and they skipped the rescue and treatment! So I added it in. When a hotshot playing tricks with his car on the highway startles a woman on horseback, sending her flying down a steep slope while her horse runs off, 51 finds someone the whole shift considers family at the bottom of the slope.

When A shift's three days off fell on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, most of the crew were elated. They get to spend the weekend with their family. Roy however, was not so excited. On his Honey To-Do List', was a backed up sink. Crawling under the sink was obviously not Roy's favorite place to be on his day off, but there he was.

Being a firefighter is dangerous work, being a female is even more difficult. As she navigates the paramedic program, relationships, and family matters, Captain Gage is going to have to navigate having a woman in his station. Nearly ten years at Captain, will he rise a rank or be back to riding the squad? What is he willing to risk for family?

When a trusted friend betrays John's adopted daughter, can Roy and John find the vanished girl and regain the 12-year-old's trust? (Want to scare our boys? Put a kid in danger. Easiest plot device in the world)(Don't own)

He begins to wonder if this young woman could be the one, but she has well guarded secrets from her past threatens their relationship. WARNING: This is somewhat of a Mary Sue, so if you don't like stories like that, just don't read it. Rated T for child abuse.

The engine had been called to a brush fire very early on in the shift. They didn't think anything of it at the time. It was brush fire season. By the end of the morning, they knew they were earning their paycheck, this fire was angry.
