It has been said that battling this pandemic is like fighting a war. So, as we continue to shelter in place, I thought it appropriate that this, the second of the COVID-19 quartet, deals with something the squad does a lot of...waiting.

With the wolf, in the guise of COVID 19, at my double-bolted door, I thought I'd offer a momentary diversion. This tale, the first of four I'll be posting on consecutive Fridays in April 2020, is especially for the small group of people who have steadfastly supported my writing efforts. The only thing the squad has to do is get a prisoner but German soldiers have become elusive. I started this story several times over the last six months. I worked and re-worked it so many times that I was going to just scrap it. I finally came up with a plausible ending. Hope you like it.
