A/N - Gale and Katniss are a couple after she chose him that day in the woods after he told her he loved her. She replied with "I love you too".

(Gale tells Katniss about when he fell in love with her)

It started out as a feeling
Which then grew into a hope
Which then turned into a quiet thought
Which then turned into a quiet word

"I love you Catnip"

(Their love had a big impact on the start of the rebellion against Snow after he forbid them to be together and threatened to kill Gale)

And then that word grew louder and louder
Til it was a battle cry

(Gale and Katniss say goodbye to their families. Even though neither of them know it, it will be their final goodbye to Primrose)

(Gale says goodbye to Katniss the night before they leave. In case he doesn't make it through the war. She argues that she might not make it but he knows she will. He would die in order for her to live a long and happy life, whether that's with or without him)

After the rebellion, Katniss is in a deep depression until Gale comes back to district 12 six months after coming to his senses that he can't live without her. She eventually forgives him for the bomb that killed Prim, realising that blaming him will not bring her back. He didn't drop the bomb, Coin did. Prim would want her to be happy and the only way she ever will is with Gale. Peeta returns from the Capitol and falls in love with Delly Cartwright. Katniss will forever hold a part in her heart for Peeta, the rest belongs to Gale.

(Gale and Katniss eventually get back to the way it was before the rebellion. Not the 'Girl on fire' or the 'Soldier', but the girl and boy that found peace, comfort and love in the woods and within each other)

Now we're back to the beginning
It's just a feeling and no one knows yet
But just because they can't feel it too
Doesn't mean that you have to forget

(Gale tells Katniss never to forget Prim and reminds her that she will always be looking over her)
