Chapter Five

Life has been different for Gohan. He was so surprised by how his mother acted towards his training now that his father was back from the dead, again. She made a rule that every week he must have all his homework done before he started training. Each week started on Monday's so it was easy for him to get his work done.

He smiled and was surprised that his dad decided keep his power level so low to hide him self. He told Gohan he wanted to surprise the others at the tournament. Which Chichi been more than happy with. Because it meant the others would leave her and Goku alone. And she could have some time to spend with just her family. Piccolo and Denda said they keep it quite as well. Gohan stretched and put his pen down. It was Tuesday and this week's load was pretty big but he was done. He smiled and jumped up and ran out side to see Icarus fast asleep under a tree. His mom and dad had gone into town to get food. So he smiled "Hey Icarus let's go for a fly."

The dragon smiled and yawned waking up.

Gohan was about to take off when he sensed someone heading this direction. He wondered who it was till he could feel Trunks and Krillin. Both landed in fort of Gohan smiling.

"Hey Gohan what you doing?" Trunks asked.

Krillin smirked "I bet your mom is making you do homework. By the way why are you super saiyan right now?"

Gohan smiled forgetting about his dad's training. "Oh it is just training me and dad did in the time chamber."

Krillin and Trunks nodded knowing Gohan had been taking it hard. "Well are you going to be in the up coming Tournament?" Trunks asked smiling.

"Yeah, Mom said she was going to join. Something about making that guy pay for taking my credit." Gohan said and shrugged his shoulder.

Trunks and Krillin laughed "I do not feel bad at all for Hercule.. Chichi is going to tear him a new one." Krillin sad looking happy.

Gohan nodded, "Well what did you fly over here for."

Trunks smiled "See if you wanted to train with us for a bit."

Icarus walked over and groaned… Gohan looked to them and then to Icarus "sorry guys I promised Icarus I fly with him. And I just finished my school work. Maybe later." He took off flying the other direction with Icarus.

Krillian smiled "seems he is getting better."

Trunks nodded and they both took off flying.

Krillian smiled "I was worried it be another fight which he hands us our ass like the last time."

Trunks nodded and they headed back to the kami's house.

Goku smiled while driving back home with Chichi. He missed not having to worry about what danger the world was in. He smiled as he parked the car, he got out and opened the door for Chichi. Who smiled taking his hand. She got out her stomach was huge now. She walked with him to the store. They had just visited the doctor to find out it would only be a week till the little guy was out. And she was happy about that. He started to kick a lot more a couple days ago. And she could tell he was already taking after his dad.

Walking through the store some people waved to them. Chichi looked to Goku, "think we can go and see my dad some time soon Goku."

Goku nodded, "I can just fly us there no problem."

Chichi nodded smiling, and started to load her two carts while Goku went to get the milk and eggs.

One of the adults in the small city walked over to Chichi "So will your husband be fighting for his title again."

Chichi turned and saw it was an elderly man. "How did you-"

"My dear girl, I went to all before the ring was destroyed. What great fights those were. The last one was a sad disappointment to the Martials Arts world."

Chichi nodded "Well our entire family will be fighting. My son who is going to be 13 years old will be joining as well. And my friend will be watching little Goten for me while I fight."

Goku smiled "Chichi told me all the of my other friends and some past winners before me plan to join as well."

"Well I was thinking of not going.. But knowing you will be going I will be going for sure. I need to go buy my ticket now." He took off running while waving goodbye to them.

Goku laughed and looked to Chichi. "Chichi I have been thinking about something and wanted your thoughts on it."

She quirked and eyebrow, "ok what is that Goku." She said as she got in the car. Goku soon climbed in and started to drive off.

"Do you remember how we meet the first time?"

"Yeah you came to my castle to get the Dragon Ball with Bulma."

"Yeah I also did this more than once and made many friends and was able to help out lots of people. I was younger than Gohan."

"What are you thinking Goku!" Chichi said getting annoyed.

"What if we let Gohan do that? I mean he can fly so fast he could come home on the weekends. He be able to train on his own. He could meet other boys and girls his own age."

Chichi was about to yell at him only the thought of Gohan meeting some girls his own age perked her interest. "We will think about it… I don't want to let Gohan go what if he thinks we don't want him."

"Why would he think that?"

"Goku we are about to have another child to tell him to leave on a training trip… I have read parenting books and they talk about these things. How the oldest child will feel unwanted. And Gohan has studies."

"What if we have him do his studies first." He knew it was a lost battle with Chichi. "Then when he is done he can run for the dragon balls and we can have him have a phone. I am sure Bulma can get him one. Also he will be able to fly home whenever he wants or camp out."

"I will think about it." She looked to her husband knowing Gohan needed friends but wasn't sure telling her son to run off and find the dragon balls where a good idea. Though it would be about another three close to four months till they where able to be found.

Gohan that moment was laughing while swimming in a huge lake swimming with Icarus.
