'' Hello readers I'm still here for those who are still interested, Again sorry the Military keeps me plenty busy...But happy reading and I'll fix mistakes later but its time for me to get some sleep. xoxo
Chapter- What to do when the world flips.
Another vampire Bonnie thought as she rubbed the tension from her shoulders this burning sensation just would not let up on the right side of her shoulder. She listened vaguely to what her blonde friend was saying, the name's Tyler and Matt are said in cohesion more than once. Bonnie wanted to listen but her thoughts were all over the place. And what is or who is the Prodigy.
Bonnie finally focused feeling this quilt wash over her for not listening. Bonnie placed her hand on top of Caroline's softly gaining her attention. "I'm sorry Care," Caroline paused and looked at Bonnie. "For what?"
"I'm not being a very good friend, I was not listening." She pouts at Caroline. "Oh I know... um, I kind of figured you weren't listening when I asked if I should dye my hair purple and dress up as a clown and you nodded yes."
Bonnie laughs licking her lips. "You always know how to make me smile." Caroline smiles happily. "I mean what are best friends for if they can't make you smile."
Bonnie inhaled deeply letting some the pent up tension in her body just drift away. "What would I ever do without you." Bonnie pulls Caroline into a hug. "You never have to find out Bonnie Bennett and don't you ever forget it."
They squeeze each other tightly.
They release each other, just as Elena approaches them. "Did I miss out on another girl talk..." Bonnie crutches her nose up at Elena, "It's all Caroline's fault she keeps telling me how much she loves me." Caroline swats Bonnie playfully, "Well can I get some of that love,"
Caroline and Bonnie both reach up pulling Elena into a hug. "Of course."
They start laughing loudly which draws attention to them from Matt and Tyler from across the cafeteria room. "We should go ask the girls to go skating." Tyler's face launches into Confusion because Bonnie is no Bueno on skates. "Yeah, we could but Bonnie doesn't know how to skate..." Matt's head spun towards him suddenly, looking as if Tyler just told him they have proof bigfoot is real. "How is that possible?" Tyler shrugs his shoulders disappointingly. "I have no idea."
"Umm, this could work," Matt gives Tyler a sneaky smile. "What?" Matt continued to smile. "Will you just tell me already." Rising his voice Tyler was growing impatient with Matt and his long ass pause.
"Geese, Okay didn't anybody ever tell you patience is a virtue."
Tyler slams his plastic fork down agitated. "Dude!" Matt rolled his eyes discreetly. " We should invite the girls and when we get there you could offer to teach Bonnie how to skate...Win-Win."
Matt looks over at the girls again. "It takes the pressure off so you can finally tell Bonnie how you feel about her...Because I'm rooting for you man."
Tyler exhales deeply. No pressure is good.
Tyler peered over at Bonnie his eyes softening, the slightest smile gracing the corners of his lips...This warm feeling filled his belly. "Let's do it." Matt pulls out his cell phone adding everyone to a group chat.. sending out the message. " Ladies it's our pleasure to invite you on a skating adventure... tonight 7 o'clock don't be late xoxo Mattie blue eyes- and Jockstrap Ty."
Ping...Caroline is the first to read the text out loud, Looking over at Matt and Tyler."
Nodding happily with a wave.
"Jockstrap...Dick." Tyler shakes his head at Matt's antics and Matt just laughs to himself.
The sheer look of panic on Bonnie's face almost goes unnoticed. "What's wrong Bon?" Elena asks fringing ignorance. "You know damn well what's wrong." Caroline and Elena try not to laugh but the image of Bonnie skating for the first time keeps playing over and over in their head. "It's not funny...Your both terrible friends." Elena rubs Bonnie's forearm. "Oh, Bon, it's okay that you skate like a leprechaun...We still love you."
Bonnie frowns annoyed. "You all suck!" Caroline and Elena keep laughing. "Sorry, sorry."
Caroline and Elena pout. "Forgive us...And let's just go have fun tonight...you don't even have to skate just come hang out with us." Bonnie's brow folded inward, she really has not felt like herself lately. "I don't know-" Caroline puts her finger on Bonnie's lips suddenly. "We will not accept no for an answer... you have been distance lately we just miss you Bon... Right, Elena."
Caroline looks towards Elena for support nodding frantically, Not wasting a minute she continues before Elena could even answer.
Bonnie was not being a very good friend lately.
She doesn't like not being a good friend.
She Hates it in fact.
She needs this night out...She needs them and they need her.
Shrugging defeated. "I'm in..." Caroline smiles warmly clapping her hands together. "Maybe Tyler could help you skate tonight." Elena twisted her lips in glee. "Why did you say it like?" Bonnie moves nervously in her chair avoiding eye contact with Elena and Caroline. " See you guys later." Tyler and Matt had approached the table before either one of them could say anything.
Especially Things that Bonnie already knew. Tyler kissed Bonnie and she kissed him back and it was nice she even liked it, granted at the time they were both drunk but it was still a kiss.
Shit! Do they know? No, they couldn't, I never said a word and She knows Tyler well enough that she trusts he would never tell anyone such intimate things about her and what they share.
Bonnie's inner thoughts were rampant right now...Note to self only one shot of espresso, not four.
"See you later, Bonnie." Tyler's voice drags Bonnie from her jumbled thoughts. "Later." They stare at each other a little longer than either one of them expected... Tyler struggled to put one foot in front of the other something in him wanted to look at her like this forever, The light around her always seems to shine brighter, she makes Tyler warm inside and out. " Ty lets go."
Matt calls to him. Tyler snaps out of his gaze quickly turning away from Bonnie his heart racing as he moved to follow Matt. Pull yourself together dude he thinks to himself.
Bonnie got to her feet like lightning had struck the chair grabbing her star bucks coffee. "See you guys later." And she hurried from the cafeteria so that her best friends didn't get a chance to question her like their the damn IRS.
"He's totally in love with her." Elena nods agreeing. "Totally, let's go."
Caroline has a thought that she doesn't share with Elena, poor Tyler probably doesn't stand a chance at least not with Damon Salvatore in town.
All roads lead back to Damon for Bonnie.
*************
"Prodigy...a person especially a young one, endowed with exceptional qualities or abilities."
Bonnie scanned the pages of her grams Grimore the very Grimore her grams had forbidden her to touch but Bonnie being the stubborn and curious Bennett witch took it anyways; Because now she was intrigued. Bonnie tucked the Grimore back into her handbag as she and the girls pulled up to the "Misty Falls bowling ally" every time Bonnie sees the name she feels like thumping the person who thought it was clever upside the head.
Tyler makes his way over to the car just as Bonnie steps out; they smile at each other but as they get closer to the door, Bonnie could feel her heart sink to the very bottom of her stomach. The snack she ate on the way there was ready to be redeposited all over the ground.
Tyler takes her hand giving it a light squeeze. "I can't believe skating makes me feel like I want to throw up." Bonnie laughs nervously. "Don't worry, I won't let you fall." Tyler turns his head to look at Bonnie and she does as well they smile and that nauseating feeling leaves her body thanks to him.
Laughing in the middle of the skating rink. "See its just that easy." Bonnie slips falling into Tyler's arms. "I got you, I will always catch you." He smiles brightly at her, Oh God no this can't happen; Bonnie's inner monologue starts to scream.
No, Oh no F**k! I can't fall for Tyler, But Darn he's so sweet...not bad on the eyes either.
But what about Damon, that man is in her blood pumping through her veins, he is etched on her soul.
Wrapped around her heart as the sun wraps around the earth.
If he was a drug then she's an addict.
But Tyler...sweet, sweet Tyler...He brings her that normal childhood rush back...He reminds her what normal is' everything that doesn't have to do with Vampires or witches...Nothing supernatural, none of those things affect her when Tyler is present, Bonnie wants that life back 'Normalcy' she even longs for it; especially with her head so invaded.
But with Tyler none of that gets in; She can block it all out like when she turns off her cell phone to avoid awkward dates that her grams set up like she's the live-action Tinder app.
The voices, her thoughts tend to get a little overwhelming at times.
"Hey, Bonnie..." She looks at him somewhat frozen at the moment. "Are you alright?"
She fake's a smile, "Yeah, hey umm, can you help me off I have to pee." She smiles innocently at him. "No problem." He pulls her closer to him as they leave the rink.
Bonnie stares at herself in the mirror, exhaling the comfort of being with Tyler off. She can't allow him to be apart of her, she's already over crowed emotionally... She takes one last look at herself before heading back out to join her friends.
"So... Is he your date?" A pleasant yet familiar voice spoke from behind her. She buried the smile plaguing her lips as she turned around. "Have you been stalking me again..."
Damon raised his eyebrow smirking at her, "I wouldn't call it stalking." Bonnie scoffs out a laugh. "I'm actually curious what would you call it?" She said sarcastically. "Looking out for a friend secretly from the shadows."
"That is literally the definition of stalking." Damon blinks wildly at her.
Bonnie folded her arms at how ridiculous he can be, she laughs walking towards Damon slowly, He suddenly stood straighter more rigid; He wasn't sure what to expect from Bonnie he never does. Stepping inches from Damon, Personal space, whats personal space especially with these two.
Bonnie puts her arms underneath his pulling him into her body, Her hands play on his back running up and down feeling the smooth leather jacket underneath her finger-tips. The sound of the leather in her ears play like an opera, as she buries her face in his chest, smiling. The scent of his cologne rush through her body like a wave rushes towards the ocean.
She can feel his body relax, he gives in resting his chin on the top of her head...Damon doesn't want to ruin the moment, but he has to something is wrong obviously. " Are you okay?" He asks placing a firm hand at the back of her neck. "Not really." She feels weighed down, heavier than she's ever felt in her entire life.
"You wanna get out of here?" He bit his bottom lip half expecting her to say no. "Yes please, believe it or not, skating gives me anxiety." Bonnie removed herself from the safety of his arms.
"As you wish."
"I gotta get my things." Damon held onto her forearm before releasing her.
"I'll be here waiting." Bonnie throws him a warm smile, those blue electric eyes stared back so intensely at her. "Yeah, I know." Bonnie turns to go grab her things suddenly she's stopped in her tracks by Tyler holding her things. "Tyler..." He has this sad puppy dog look on his face...
He saw them, Crap, the embrace between her and Damon was definitely not platonic.
She would never intentionally hurt him in any way.
"You're leaving... with him." He states it like a question but she knows it's not.
So what is this guilt, why does she feel guilty; It's not like Tyler is her boyfriend but neither is Damon.
But she feels like somehow she's betraying Tyler.
Why did she do this tonight? why did she come here...? why did Damon come.?
Why?
She opens her mouth to explain who Damon is but nothing comes out... Nothing she tells him will ever be good enough.
Bonnie composed herself, "Thank you, Ty I had a really great time, can you tell everyone goodbye for me." Tyler forced a half-smile, as he fought the urge to just grab and tell her that he wants to be with her... And that if she tried they could be happy together but tonight will not be the night.
Unrequited love will remain unrequited.
Bonnie walks away taking a quick look over her shoulder at Tyler who hadn't moved a muscle; he watched as she made her way to Damon and then she was gone like a star in the misty night.
***************
The Camaro was quiet not an awkward quiet but quiet... "Open the glove compartment, I got you something." Bonnie studied his profile for a moment. "Why are staring at me like that?"
"What is it?" Bonnie reaches for the compartment he knows good and well that she hates surprises. "Just open it already." He said exasperated gripping the steering wheel tightly. Bonnie pulled it open suddenly. She paused before giving him a crooked smile. "Gummy bears." The surprise of her tone takes Damon for a loop.
His eyes narrowed on her, "What did you think it was... another diamond ring." He laughed sarcastically. "Well with you it wouldn't surprise me if it was." Bonnie played with the diamond ring around her necklace.
Damon could see her from his peripheral as the car fell silent again. Absently Bonnie gazed at the sky. "It's a half-moon tonight... As a kid I used to sit out on the balcony at my grams house and wish on the moon and stars all night and make wishes..."
Damon could hear the sadness in her voice, "What did you wish for?." Bonnie set up to look at him, But Damon kept his eyes glued to the road, A sudden fear wormed through his body she would break him if he looks at her. "Lots of things..." She turned away no longer focused on his smooth porcelain skin. "But only one of them came true."
The corner of his mouth turned up into a smile, the widest smile he had ever mustered in his entire human and non- human life.
"Passengers choice Lady gaga or Fergie..." Damon reaches for the CDs handing them to Bonnie. "You only have two CDs...where's the rest," Bonnie looks at him flabbergasted. Damon snatches the CDs from her. "Don't judge me, I'm very self-conscious about my music."
"Sure you are, you big baby." Bonnie retorts nonchalant rolling her eyes at him with a smile on her face.
The Camaro comes to a stop suddenly which jerks Bonnie forward a bit. He did that on purpose and she knows it.
"We're home." Bonnie looks out the window at her grams front door ignoring his comment. " Oh darn, I guess we missed our chance to listen to those great CDs." Bonnie shrugs with nonchalant sarcasm. "Get out of my car smart ass."
She shoots him a smirk from over her shoulder as she got out. "Doesn't seem like my grams home...would you like to stay for a while." Damon stalked slowly towards her' showing his pearly whites placing his finger to her nose, "That's like asking me if I like bourbon." Bonnie raised her eyebrows annoyed with him. "A simple yes or no would suffice." Bonnie turned on her heels and headed for the front porch.
Damon smirked to himself delighted. "So is it a farfetched idea that you would ever invite me in."
Bonnie's head spun around so fast, she could swear there were suddenly two Damon's. "Are you crazy? My grams would kill you, she's been warning me away from vampires for as long as I can remember."
Obviously, those warnings have fallen on deaf ears.
"And yet here I stand." Bonnie shrugs playing with her keys looking off at nothing. "Only because I like you." Damon trained his eyes on her, She engaged eye contact with him, pure joy had spread across his face effortlessly. His hand landed on her cheek creasing his thumb in a circle, her skin was like butter. Her eyes show him what she sees in him, the way she sees him and he wanted more of that look forever. He spoke finally, "You like me...You like me and you can't take it back." Bonnie could feel her heart racing, quickening with every cress of his hand her body reacted with every touch, she chooses silence over words and action. She wanted to let him relish at the moment. Damon rubs her right shoulder; Bonnie winces in pain. "Damn."
"What's wrong? Did you hurt yourself bumping into walls again..."
"Ha Ha funny...No, my shoulder its been burning all day...Like its on fire." Bonnie places her hand on it. "Let me take a look, maybe I can do something..." He winked at her wickedly he likes sharing his blood with her; she closes her eyes in pain before reveling her shoulder to him. Damon puts his hand to the nape of her neck checking the moon-shaped crest branded in her skin. Bonnie tilts her head trying to see the mark. "What is it?" Bonnie looked panicked for a moment.
Because Damon goes silent for what seems like forever. "It's a crescent-shaped moon."
Damon turns from Bonnie a single thought plays in the shadows of his mind... "Damon, what is it? You've seen this mark before, haven't you?" Bonnie touches Damon's shoulder turning him to face her. " Yes..." Bonnie sees the scared look on his face this is the first time she has ever seen true fear in Damon's eyes. "What is it... Does this mark have something to do with Klaus?"
Damon hangs his head low anger seeping through him. "Yes...he's marked you." His words come out shallow. Bonnie takes a step back away from Damon processing his words, "...So Klaus being in my head...that's because of this mark, how?" Damon turns to her unsure of anything. "I don't know." She tries to wrap her mind around what exactly was happening to her and she knows it's because Klaus targeted her specifically.
Because he knows that she is the one thing for sure Damon cares about.
"Somehow he's managed to link himself to you..." Damon exhales taking a step closer and Bonnie takes a step back, he notices. "Show your grams...she can help." Damon knows this is his fault the reason Klaus even knows about or went after Bonnie is because of his stupid choices and now she's paying the price; Damon did what Klaus wanted he gave him a witch, what is his goal in going after Bonnie. He can't let Klaus get away with this and he won't let him have her.
"I gotta go." Damon turns to leave. "What are you gonna do?" She shouts after him, worried about what he might do he's always putting himself in dangerous situations his safety is always at risk; and she never wants anything bad to happen to Damon no matter what happens to her.
Bonnie runs from her grams porch towards home.
*******************
Damon goes through the Salvatore manor throwing and tossing the books that aren't useful or helpful in any kind of way. "Stefan, Stefan..." Damon yells for the younger Salvatore, Stefan runs towards his brother's frantic calls. He stumbles upon a destroyed library. "What the hell is going on?"
"I'm looking for a book, Red mythological in nature... Have you seen it." Damon looks at Stefan reeking with desperation. "Why do you need it?" Stefan frowns un trustingly at Damon. "Where is the BOOK Stefan?!" He holds out his hands pleading to his brother. "I'm trying to save someone's life, Please...I need to save her life..."
Stefan swallows the lurch in his throat, by God something in him felt a twinge of sympathy for Damon, This frantic mess of a man before him; looks like the brother he once loved and adored more than anyone in the world.
"It's in the duvet." Damon exhales; saving Bonnie and killing Klaus just became his top priority.
"Do you need help?" Damon gives Stefan a sharp look, A deadly look. "Not from you."
Damon takes the book and leaves quickly before he could be asked any more questions. "Save who?" Stefan asked himself peeked with intrigue and suspicion.
****************
Bonnie had made it back to her grams house before she made it home... Bonnie headed for the bedroom but stopped at the sound of mumbled voices; she wonders who her grams would be talking with at this time of night; Bonnie thought maybe her grams had a new boyfriend. Nah not her grams, maybe its the hot teacher Shane... Bonnie shifted the weight of her foot which causes the floorboard to creek as usual; Bonnie hated this stupid floorboard it always makes it that much harder to be sneaky. Bonnie swears her grams put a spell on it for purposes just like this one.
"Why don't you just come on down child," Sheila called to her, Bonnie rolled her eyes silently cursing the floorboard. "Thanks a lot." She whispers as she slumped down the stairs. Bonnie's heart was beating so fast each beat played louder as she could see the other person come into view... "Damon, what are you doing here?" A moment of shock and panic running through every fiber of her body.
He gives her a melancholy look before he speaks.
"I didn't have a choice, we need her..." Damon paused to look over at Sheila. "You need her."
Bonnie could feel the shame and disappointment coming from Sheila; she never wanted her grandmother to look at her like that. "Grams... I- I can explain." She stumbles over her words.
Sheila gives Bonnie a warm smile, that child is her everything. "Not now child, we will have our time." Sheila made her way closer to Bonnie getting a good look at that mark on her shoulder.
Cutting her eyes back to Damon, the fact that he was standing in her home without being murdered was short of a miracle.
"Mister Salvatore and I need to speak alone." Sheila's eyes cut sharply at Damon. "But grams..." Bonnie objects fearing that this might be the last time she might see Damon in one piece. She mouths the words "Sorry."... "Bonnie!" She repeated sternly Bonnie was used to that tone, she looked towards Damon sympathetically because she knew what was coming for Damon especially since her grams hates vampires.
She gives Damon one last look before, exiting the living room heading back upstairs.
"Sheila, How have you been?" He said with a smirk as he took a seat on the couch propping his feet on the coffee table. "Cut the playboy bullshit, what the hell kind of trouble have you gotten my grand-daughter into?"
Damon turned his lips up like a petulant child. "Just as friendly as I remember you."
"I asked you a question," She said knocking his feet off the mahogany. Damon set silent a moment; Thinking back to the day he met Sheila Bennett she was just as intimating then as she is now.
" I got myself into some trouble with the Mikaleson family, namely Niklaus."
Sheila shakes her head in disgust at his stupidity frowning with fury she needed more details.
"That damn family stays causing problems."
Damon smirked. "And who's fought is that..." He replies plainly like the white rice at a Chinese buffet.
She squints holding back the urge to light him up. "Tell me exactly what you did..."
Damon sighs deeply the guilt he was feeling for putting Bonnie in the middle of his mess hung heavy in his chest. "I killed his personal witch," Sheila rolls her eyes fighting the urge to set Damon on fire or worse. "I thought I took care of it, I found a new witch for him...He seemed satisfied but somehow he found out about Bonnie and that she's important...to me." Damon spoke with hesitation unsure of Sheila's reaction.
Sheila was stung by the confession, a vampire having concern for a witch often always leads to trouble for the witch.
Sheila exhales trying to redirect her thoughts from Damon and his relationship with Bonnie,
"Is that why is he's still coming after her?"
"No, it's also because she's a Bennett...And-" Damon does not dare finish the statement itching his lips for release.
Sheila's eyes widened from the revelation, the Bennett name was both a blessing and a curse.
The room suddenly falls into an awkward silence; Sheila and Damon both lost in the sea of their own thoughts to realize that neither of them had spoken a word.
Confusion crosses Sheila's face as she reexamines his words, " And what?" She focused her laser-sharp gaze on him... Those glass blue eyes narrowing resentment bobbling at the pits of his stomach.
Damon steeled himself the lump in his throat felt close to strangely him, "He's going after her... because of her, Not just because of me...I think he thinks he has feelings for her." The very words soured his mouth.
Sheila turned her back to Damon, her eyes landing on a photo of Bonnie alongside the picture of Abby. Sheila felt like a volcano inside. "You vampires and your emotions...All of you trifling in the lives of witches... I told that child, warned her so many times... steer clear of Vampires they bring nothing but trouble..." They say in unison, Sheila cut Damon a look from over her shoulders. Damon paused momentarily. "...Bonnie told me." His eyes now landing on the photo of his favorite witch. "But I'm-" Sheila turn and faced Damon those chestnut eyes locked with his coldly. "Don't you dare stand there and tell me your nothing like Klaus because a vampire is a vampire."
Suddenly Damon was closer to Sheila then she would normally allow...Damon blinked wildly at her, "I have never hurt Bonnie." That was a lie and he knows it.
Sheila squared her shoulders. "You may not be the one hurting her but you sure are the reason she's hurting right now."
Damon looks away in shame because she was right all of this is his fault, his short-tempter along with his short-sighted-Ness it is always more than he bargains for. "Touche." He exclaims, she bothers not to respond taking a step away from the touchy vampire.
Damon runs a hand through his disheveled hair gripping a small chunk of it. "What can we do about the mark?" He sounded exhausted from this exchange.
Sheila bit her bottom lip fiendishly. "I might be able to block her from him for a while which will give me some time..." Sheila paused. Damon raised his eyebrows waiting for the rest of her resolution. "Care to share with the class." Sheila smiled devilish. "No." She states simply.
Instead, she paces slowly for two minutes, watching Damon from the corners of her eyes. "Bonnie is..." Sheila speaks too softly Damon almost misses what she's saying.
She wonders if she could trust Damon with her truth, with Bonnie's truth.
You can't he's a vampire.
Witches don't trifle with Vampires.
"Bonnie's what?" Damon tilted his head in anticipation. Sheila stopped her thoughts from running around like a circus run by someone on crack.
"...Bonnie is more important than either one of us could possibly understand." Sheila looks away quickly. Damon scoffs to himself, A switch flipping in his head about things he's heard from Sheriff Forbes and the counsel of Mystic falls. "...So I've been hearing some rumbling about a prodigy and it seems that all the witch covens have vowed to find him or her...It's got everybody nervous...you wouldn't know anything about that would you..." Damon looks Sheila straight in the eyes hoping to gauge some reaction she gives off nothing keeping her face stoic.
Damn, they know... but they don't know.
She's still safe for now.
Damon snaps his fingers getting her attention yet again.
She may have kept her face emotionless but Damon could see it in her eyes they are the window to the soul and Bonnie is Sheila's soul, And she's nervous!
"You cannot rattle me, mister Salvatore." Damon raises an eyebrow. "Back to the formalities."
"We are not friends, but I need you to help protect my granddaughter until I can figure out Klaus's plan linking himself to her."
"We." Damon simply states. "We what?" Sheila fakes confusion about the meaning of his words.
"You're not figuring out his plan without me, I want to protect Bonnie just as much as you!" He spoke more fiercely than Sheila thought he was capable of.
"I doubt that Damon... otherwise you would have stayed away from her as we agreed, you kept your promise to keep the Bennett line alive but your job is done, we don't need you anymore."
Sheila lights the sage sitting in the middle of the coffee table she can feel the bad spirits roaming around.
Damon looks somber at her remark. "I never meant to put her in danger." Sheila gives Damon a soft look.
"How did you even meet my granddaughter?" Curiosity overtakes her this time, she now realizes where Bonnie gets this trait, she smirks to herself, Bonnie gets a lot of her disobedient traits from Sheila the hypocrisy of her own words playing on cue like a marching band down Bourbon Street during Mardi Gras.
"It was purely by accident." Sheila scoffs out of disbelief, "Nothing ever happens by accident when it involves you."
Damon rolled his eyes at her cunning remark he can see where Bonnie gets her fiery nature from. "Now I know where she gets from." He whispers to himself. Pulling his attention back on Sheila.
"Well it was, I was out for a late-night snack and she just so happen to be wandering alone in the park at night, which by the way is pretty terrible parenting skills if you ask me."
Damon stood straighter feeling proud that it was finally his turn to pass judgment; people especially people close to him are always so quick to judge his actions without taking a good look in the mirror first; although he can't really blame them he is a pretty terrible person which he is painfully self-aware of, but he simply cannot waste his time or energy caring. But Bonnie oh Bonnie her opinion always matters and will always matter.
"Well, no one did." She replied dryly, Sheila often thought about how badly she and Rudy were doing rasing Bonnie especially since Abby disappeared, the longing Bonnie must feel every day missing a mother she'd probably never know. And Sheila knew she could not fill the void that must be in that poor child's heart for a mother's love.
As she spoke Damon quietly made his away across the room standing in front of the fireplace. He didn't know what it was about fireplaces that gave him such calm and comfort maybe that was the last place he had a nice memory as a human; He shrugged turning his full attention back to Sheila instead of focusing on the million things he needs therapy for.
"Bonnie's mother disappeared shortly after she was born." A look of empathy comes across his face he knows all too well what it's like to lose a mother, he just simply never lets it show, Damon finds it comforting never letting the things of his past burden him or he at least he likes the illusion of pretending that nothing bothers him. "What happened to her?" Damon asks inquisitively running his finger across the Mantel shelf.
No dust, Damon shrugs slightly amused.
Sheila takes a deep breathe skipping over his question. " I'll let you know what the plan is for Niklaus Mickelson but first I need to speak with Bonnie, And as much fun as it was quipping with you, if you don't mind I'd like for you to leave and don't come back unless you are invited...And I take back my invitation." Damon clinches his jaw; And with that Damon is pulled from the house and thrown out onto the porch.
Damon lets out a huff as he gets up, "Very funny Sheila."
*****************
"I know your there child." Bonnie steps from around the corner into the light she had eavesdropped on most of their conversation. "Am'I the prodigy?" She asked somewhat frightened but almost certain the answer is yes. "We need to talk."
Bonnie shakes her "NO" she's not gonna let her grams worm her way out of answering this question. "Grams just this once tell me... Yes or no.!" She looks at her Grams on the verge of tears. Against Sheila's better judgment and nature she goes with the truth, she can't keep treating Bonnie like a child especially when so many things involve her. " Yes, you are." She says softly.
Before Bonnie could even remotely begin to process this new development she grabs the sides of her head in agony suddenly she drops seizing. "Bonnie, Bonnie..." Sheila drops to her knees crouching next to Bonnie turning the girl to her side... " Stay with me child," Sheila clutches onto Bonnie as she continues seizing.

Greta stands in front of a cauldron sweating on the verge of fainting... Fire shouts from the Cauldron which drops Greta to her knees; the beads of sweat rolling down her face into her eyes... "Well..." Klaus stands over her completely unfazed by her current condition. Greta's face sinks with anger. "It's done, they'll have no choice but to seek you out, if they want to save her."
Klaus gleefully smiles his full lips perched with delight, walking out the room with not even an afterthought of Greta... "Your welcome." She mumbles nastily a fury for Klaus now burning through every inch of her body towards him...
