"Uh oh..." his voice had changed as well. "Balls," he sighed.

Dr. Horrible tugged at his sleeves until his small fingers popped out. His latest ray hadn't worked out as well as he'd hoped.

"It was supposed to reverse time..." he mumbled pulling his goggles over his head – they were too big for him now and had fallen from his head to his neck, restricting him.

Another failed invention.

"I knew I should've tested it on something living first..." he seemed to have a thing for trying out new inventions in live action, jumping the gun as it were. He should have learned his lesson after the freeze ray incident – well incidents.

He wanted to go back. Back to before. He was a genius wasn't he?

Correction: An evil genius.

He could build a time machine. Time ray. He built a freeze ray, didn't he?

But he knew it wasn't the same. Alternating the flow of time in a fixed area – for a single person, or two – and actually manipulating the time stream continuum were two completely different things.

But...

Well...

What else could he do?

He fell back into his armchair and rubbed his temples.

Damn ELE... Damn Hammer... Damn it...

He just wanted to go back. Back to before.
