Love is Simple

Love doesn't have to be sad or filled with tragedy. Relationships don't always have to be tested. And it's alright not to know everything about your lover. The point is that there is love between you and that specail someone. And I can tell you now, no 'Are you compatible?' test is qualified enough to judge that love.
There is nothing wrong with simply 'going out' like a normal couple. Never battling through life threatening fights together, or dieing for the one you love just to prove that what you had was true. That's foolish fairytale stuff.
Those are things that cloud the true meaning of love. Things that make somthing as simple as emotion, complex. You can love with a passion just as firey, with a heart just as pure, and never undergo these trails.
There is nothing wrong with just 'being in love'. Shikamaru taught that to me. So while we sit on our favorite hill top, watching the other couples cry and struggle all in the name of 'love', we turn to one another and smile.
'I love you, Shika' --- 'I love you, Ino'

A/n - I've been wanting to write somthing like this for a while now. Yea the mushy 'I'll save you such and such!' or 'Let's die together, love!' is cute, but I get tired of it at times. One day in particular I was thinking about this, and thought " Why can't there ever be a couple who is simply and plainly 'In love?' " Then I thought 'Ino and Shikamaru!' And so this fic was written.
