A/n: alright, I know I should be working on my other stories, but I swear I actually am, not kidding. I really had no reason to write this, but I just decided to because I was board and it was awkward between my parents and myself so I locked myself in my room and wrote this. It could actually be any Slytherin/Gryffindor ship, but I think the one I chose suits it the best, anyways, I hope you like it, REVIEW!
SecretsI started out as an infatuation. A simple exchanging of words, and both were left to wonder if the other held something more to them. A few glances now and then, notes discreetly shoved in another's hands. It was a secret the lion and the serpent shared. With every passing day, they fell deeper into it.
They met at the end of every week, each thinking of an excuse to get away. They spent the nights in each other's arms; momentarily forgetting how they were on different sides of a war, or that there was no chance they could ever be together. Gradually, they fell for each other. It was a forbidden love, and perhaps the most dangerous thing they had ever held within their grasp.
Their lives continued as normal, or as normal as they would ever get. They pretended to hate each other, both with more passion than before. No one had yet to discover their secret. Each often wondered how it had come to be so. How had they gone from enemies, to lovers? What would ever become of this, what could ever become of this?
The war was close, so they held on tighter. Who knew how much longer they had? The wizarding world was in the hands of a boy, one whose spirit was slowly fading. Everyone seemed to have been affected by the deaths around them. The two knew they had little time left. Their meetings became less frequent, but their feelings for each other wouldn't change. When he thought she was sleeping, he would run his hands through her hair and tell her he loved her, over and over.
Then one day, she stopped showing up. He would wait for her, but she never came. She wouldn't look him in the eyes anymore, she wouldn't acknowledge his presence. It seemed as though she had erased their past from her mind.
Days after, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry was attacked. She watched from the Owlery. She couldn't fight. There was no fight left in her. She watched as the ones she loved fell, dead. She blinked back her tears; she had to be strong.
Avada Kedavra. She froze as a green light shot from the deatheater's wand, one who she couldn't name. Her breath caught in her throat. She watched as he fell.
It had been their secret. And now, it always would be.
