Eyy.

Now, your probably wondering why the hell this took so long.

Here's what happened, my mom is a front-liner that works near checkpoint (not a police officer. To be honest, I'm not sure what she does, all I know is that It's important). And a Covid positive was confirmed to have gone through where she works. She and her colleagues, at least 10 people, got tested, and were put in home quarantine while the results where finalized.

We had an agreement, me and my sisters stay on one half of the house, where our rooms are, and mom stayed at the other half, where her room is. Now, the only problem was that I left my laptop in mom's room. I frequent that room because our Wifi is put there and she has an ethernet cable. I go there to play LoL. So she wont let me take my laptop at the risk of possibly getting covid19 (she wasn't confirmed positive, but the results werent in yet).

We just got the results a few days ago, She's negative. I finally got my Laptop back, so I busted ass to make this chapter as early as possible.

Be a bit warned, the quality may be lower than the last chapter.

"Report, agent."

"The young madam seems to be unwelcoming of my efforts to guard her, sir."

"That was to be expected. The whole reason she came to beacon was to have freedom, your presence impedes that."

"What are your orders, sir?"

"Continue your mission, but be more subtle. It would also do you some good to make her accept, or at least tolerate, your presence."

"Yes sir, is that all?"

"Do what she asks of you, as long as it won't hinder your mission. And remember to treat her courteously. She is, after all, the daughter of your owner."

The boy on the other end of the video call nodded, not at all bothered with how his superior worded his position.

And it wasn't like he was wrong either.

"That is all."

"Yes sir."

With the call ended, he stepped out of the unused classroom and walked towards the opening ceremony.

- A few hours ago –

Jaune Arc stumbled out of the death machine, He refused to call that amalgamation of metal an airship, and immediately set his sights on a trashcan. Emptying his breakfast, lunch, and snack into the poor thing.

"Blegh," he wiped his mouth with his sleeves. I hate motion sickness. The air-sick boy composed and tidied himself as much as he could before starting his walk towards Beacon Academy. His nausea quickly subsided after emptying his gullet.

I can't believe it. The young man looked around the school with a sense of childlike wonder. He was here! Granted, he got here through… unsavory means. But he wouldn't let that get to him dammit! What mattered was now, and now was Beacon. Speaking of, he needed to make friends quickly, just like his gramps used to say, 'You can't win a war without allies.'

His eyes moved from left to right, searching for good candidates. The orbs of blue turned to a girl who wore an all-black ensemble, she was reading a book too. She didn't look all that outgoing, but good lord did she look pretty. He started walking towards her, practicing what he was going to say.

"Hey, the name's Jaune Arc. Short sweet and – you're walking away." The second he started talking, the girl turned her back against him and walked straight away. Huh, maybe I started too strong? Nah, she probably forgot something. He shrugged her shoulders and returned to searching. But the more he looked, the more his thoughts wandered.

Now, his mind was wrapped around their weapons. Nobody appreciates the classics, he thought to himself, what's wrong with a good ol' sword and shield? Sure it isn't as flashy and doesn't have a ranged option, and I didn't even really know how to use them, and – ok I'll stop now.

Back to searching! The determined young lad looked around some more until his eyes fell upon a short girl who was about to walk past.

Her clothes were pretty normal, normal for hunters, that is. She wore an open, pink crop-top jacket, her inner was a black tank top, with baggy grey jeans and pink shoes. But her sword? It was… just a basic, everyday sword. No sign of any mecha-shift system, no built-in gun, no nothing. And for a huntsman, that was anything but normal.

Still, he couldn't have been happier. Finally! Someone else who likes classic, hack n' slash weapons!

But the more he looked at the sword, the more it felt like he saw it somewhere. It was a beautiful longsword, with guard and counter-weight that shone a pretty golden color accompanied by a rich red leather handle. The carvings on them were detailed, almost impossibly so. Then his eyes fell on the emblem carved in the middle of the sword's hilt. A winged, four-legged dragon.

Jaune searched his memory for those details, he was absolutely sure that he read about a similar-looking sword with the same emblem somewhere. What was the name of it again? Was it Caladbolg? No, that was a spear, not a sword. Durendal? No, Durendal didn't have a dragon carved into the hilt. He wracked his brain and pieced together the information. Beautiful longsword, has a gold hilt, red leather handle, and the symbol of a four-legged dragon. Then, from the back of his head, he finally found the name.

"Excalibur?"

He didn't mean to voice it out loud, but the damage was done. The short girl spun on her heel and gave the young knight all of her attention. "What did you say?" She, of course, heard his words quite clearly. But she needed confirmation

Jaune couldn't help but gulp at the girl's curious gaze, beautiful as she was. What if he was wrong? Oh god, I'm gonna embarrass myself in front of a cute girl. But he was in too deep now. And he won't deny that he was genuinely curious if it was the real Excalibur. A blade that was wielded by another hero of the Great War. "I-Is that Excalibur?"

The girl's auburn eyes widened in surprise. How does he know? "…Are you a weapon's freak or something?"

"N-Not that I'm aware of, no."

"Then how do you know about the name of my sword?"

"It's j-just that, mom always tells me stories of l-legendary hunters and their weapons."

Her inquisitive gaze fell and was immediately replaced with a beaming smile. "So, you know about who wielded Excalibur then?"

"Of course!" His scared stuttering stopped, now confident that he didn't embarrass himself. "Genevieve Pendragon, the 'Sword of Vale'! Mom said that she kept the morale of the army high because of her cheerfulness!" The girl crossed her arms, grinned, and nodded to the boy.

"You sure know your stuff!"

The young knight returned her smile with his own. "Of course! Those stories are what made me want to become a huntsman!" He paused. "But if you own Excalibur, doesn't that make you a descendant of Genevieve?" She smiled and nodded again. "Yup."

"B-But how? Mom said the Pendragon bloodline died out!"

The girl pointed a finger up at Jaune's nose, his eyes followed the opposing limb, making him go cross-eyed. "That's where you're wrong, the name might've died, but Genevieve's blood still runs strong!" She turned her pointing finger into a handshaking gesture, "The name's Ochaco Uraraka, currently the youngest descendant of Genevieve Pendragon!"

Wow, I can't believe I get to meet a Pendragon! Wait till mom hears about – The young knight stopped his train of thought with a grimace. R-Right, I forgot she doesn't even know I'm here.

Uraraka saw the expression and mistook it for discomfort, she pulled her hand away and gave a nervous laugh. "Eheheh, sorry if I was too forward about all of this." Dammit, there goes my over-friendliness again, I hope I don't scare him away. Jaune's look turned from sad to panicked, "Whah!? No, no, no! You weren't too forward at all!"

"Oh, so why did you look so uncomfortable?"

"Did I look like that? S-Sorry, I just remembered a bad memory. Promise, it wasn't because of you, not at all!" The panicking young man continued stuttering and mumbling out excuses. Dedicated to assuring Uraraka that she didn't do anything wrong. But he paused when he heard a tiny, muffled giggle.

Was she laughing?

He broke out of his apologizing stupor to confirm his presumption. The bubbly girl was, in fact, giggling. Covering her mouth with both her gloved hands in a desperate attempt to stop it from growing louder. Her laugh was just so… so real, so genuine that he couldn't help but chuckle in return. Albeit, with a meek rub at the back of his neck.

"So the stories are true."

Uraraka slowed her laughing, wiping a joyful tear from her eye. "Hah? What story?"

He slowed down his chuckle into a halt, but he still retained a sheepish smile. "That the laugh of a Pendragon can lift anyone's spirits."

She smiled at his sneaky praise. "Heh, did you need more proof?"

The amused boy shook his head. "Nope. As if Excalibur wasn't proof enough." He extended a handshake. "The name's Jaune arc. Short, sweet, and rolls off the tongue. The ladies love it."

The bubbly girl smiled at the returned gesture and received the handshake. "And I'm Ochaco Uraraka. Long but sweet, and hard to pronounce." She snickered. "' the ladies love it'?"

Jaune held his hands out in re-assurance "They will! At least, that's what mom said."

She snickered again. "Momma's boy."

"I'll take that as a compliment."

*BOOM*

"What was that!?" Jaune shouted out, half from fear and half from genuine surprise. Was there an attack!? No, that's impossible, Beacon's trained hunters would make sure that didn't happen. Right?

Uraraka just waved her hand nonchalantly. "Oh, that's probably just a spar, two students

"A-A spar!?" The scared teen looked at her incredulously. "Not an experiment gone wrong or an attack against beacon!?"

She shrugged her shoulders. "I mean, we are at a huntsman academy, so friendly fights wouldn't be uncommon. But enough about that, lets hurry to the opening ceremony!" She hooked her arm around his and pulled the still slack-jawed boy forward. Blissfully ignorant of all the panicked thoughts going around his head. The explosion acted like a reality check to the young man, making him realize that maybe, just maybe, he wasn't ready yet. That he probably should've planned, or just thought, this through better.

WHAT DID SCHOOL DID I GET MYSELF INTO!?

/-/

The three would-be students broke their sprinting, taking a few steps before skidding to a halt.

Well, except for Ruby, the girl didn't even look winded, her giddy was smile still present on her face as she looked at the two other boys that accompanied her. The boys in question where panting like tired dogs. Izuku had his hands on his knees while he caught his breath in measured inhales. In contrast, Bakugo faced upwards, both his hands on his hips, and breathed through a smirk, looking like a runner that enjoyed a marathon.

Ruby giggled at the sight, which caught the haggard boy's attention. Bakugo lowered his gaze from the ceiling and into the fifteen-year-old.

"How the fuck're ya' not winded?" He asked disbelievingly.

Before she could reply, her green-haired hero answered for her. "She's built for speed, Katsuki, so she probably trains by running marathons every-day." This seemed to satisfy the blond.

"Shit, not even a day in and I've met someone who could beat me in something!" Bakugo grinned. "Guess I'll haf'ta up my exercises!" Izuku groaned into his palm in faux annoyance.

"There he goes again."

This just made Ruby giggle even more. Though she couldn't help but ask the greenette, "How did you know that my specialty is speed?"

"A-Ah, well… you did tell us what your semblance is, add that to your stature- "Hey!" "-And it just fits, you know?"

Jab to her short height aside, his reasoning was spot on! "Is that your semblance? Analyzing?"

Bakugo snorted in amusement. "Nah, he just does that shit sometimes."

Before she could ask more, she heard her sister calling her. "Hey! Ruby! Over here!" She turned to where the voice was coming from and saw her sister waving her hand over the crowd, she boosted her height by standing on her toes and returned the wave.

Ruby turned back to the two boys. "That's my sister, let's meet again after the ceremony, okay?"

Izuku smiled, Bakugo grinned, and they both replied.

"Sure!"

"Ya fuckin' know it!"

The enthusiasm of their response almost made her jump with joy, but she reeled that part of her in and gave a happy smile instead. Yes! I made friends! And not just those one-sided friendships, but a real one! Just wait until Yang hears about this. The pair didn't vocally say that they were friends. But from the way they talked to her and the sincerity of their voices when they agreed to meet again? It was safe to say that a silent pact had been written.

She walked to her sister with a huge smile on her face, instantly catching the blonde brawler's attention.

"Sooo… I take it that the friend searching went well?"

"Yup! Oh I can't wait to introduce them to you!"

Eyy, hello again bois!

I'm gonna be honest with you guys. I know more about RWBY characters than BNHA, so I don't think I got Uraraka's attitude right, I feel like she turned out to be too much like Nora. So pls let me know if I wrote her right, and if not, tell me what I got wrong about her personality.

Oh, and BTW, I made some adjustments to the plot, so what I promised last chapter will have to be moved.

I'm drained and tired, and I have a fuck-ton of stupid school projects (They aren't even graded, but I don't wanna look like a sloth if I don't pass them. Especially because I'm a part of the student council). So expect the next update to come around mid August

Till next time bois! Stay safe!
