Tsuna groaned, stretching his limbs from his chair before shifting into a more comfortable position. He lets out a sigh of relief as he peered down to his usually piled up table, and broke out into a sheepish grin. Finally, he's done with all his work for the day, and hopefully no idiots would come and book a sudden appointment with him, he wanted nothing but to go home and get some well-deserved rest.

Standing up, Tsuna pushed his swivel chair from him with the use of his feet before making his way toward the coat rack, about to pull his jacket, but a knock on his office's door stopped him midway. He wiggled his nose at that, rolling his eyes before muttering a 'come in'. "Tenth, you have a visitor..." Hayato hesitantly spoke as he enter the room, almost sighing to himself as he heard the heavy footsteps getting closer behind him.

At that, Tsuna raised an eyebrow, confused on his asisstant's words, but shrugged it off, going back to grabbing his jacket and draping the warm thing around his shoulder. "Could you send them away for me, Hayato? Tell them to pick another time for whatever concern they have." the brunet mumbled under his breath, shuffling around his table to pick up his keys and wallet, however a cheery voice startled him, almost making him jump.

"Are you saying that you're going to refuse your best friend whom you haven't seen for a long time now, kora?" With widening eyes, Tsuna twisted around, glancing over his silver-head friend's shoulder to see a grinning blond still in his military uniform, a rifle hanging behind his back like nothing was wrong. Hayato could have sworn he saw his Tenth's honey-colored eyes twinkle in delight at the sight of the militant but shook off the thoughts and silently excuse himself to give Tsuna and his so-called-best friend some time alone.

"Colonnello! You're back!" Tsuna beamed, almost dropping whatever he has in his hands as he run toward the blond, tackling him into a hug. Colonnello chuckled at the adorable reaction, steadying himself as he catch Tsuna since the floor doesn't look welcoming for his backside. Tilting his head up curiously, Tsuna's eyes was locked on the other's icy blue ones, various emotions set on the former's but his arms remain still on Colonnell's waist. "When did you get back? You should have at least informed me!"

Colonnello sheepishly grin, ruffling the brunet's soft caramel locks fondly before pushing him off slightly so he could see Tsuna's face completely. "Early this morning, kora, and I purposefully kept my arrival a secret to you since it's always fun seeing your face all surprised!"

Tsuna pouted at this, rolling his eyes as he lightly punch the blond on his chest. "Still an idiot, I see..." the brunet sighed whilst shaking his head in feign disappointment as he retracted his arms from the blond's body, folding it across his chest instead. The older man laughed at this but said none, and nudged Tsuna to the door earning himself a curious glance from him.

"What's with that look, we have a lot of catching up to do, kora!" Colonnello smirked as he opened the door himself, shoving Tsuna out half-heartedly. "Better get going, slowpoke!" he laughed in amusement when the brunet sent him a glare, but to Colonnello, it looks more like a pout.

"So, how have you been doing, Tsuna?"

Tsuna tilted his head, offering the older man a bright smile before answering. "Been doing good, even better when Reborn was sent back to help Gio-nii in Italy."

Chuckling at this, Colonnello shook his head, peering at the brunette momentarily before glancing back toward the road to avoid causing some accident in the middle of the afternoon. That doesn't sound appealing at all, that and he has his precious Tsuna sitting beside him. He'll never take risk if he doesn't want to get killed by the brunet's brother and Reborn.

"How about you? It's been a month since I've last heard from you so I was wondering if you've been well ever since..." Tsuna questions, his eyes set on the blond beside him as he awaits for him to answer. He almost choked on his own breath when he saw the red tint decorating Colonnello's pale complexion, he also noticed the car slowing down, and a shiver running down his spine. Silently, he pray for his guess to turn out wrong, becuase if not then it's the same as him dying but the fond smile that spreads on the older man's lips betrayed his hope.

It's no secret to many that the young brunet has feelings for his best friend, almost everyone knew. From Reborn to his friends and employees, hell, even Giotto knew about it. Only Colonnello stayed oblivious at that mere fact.

He also knew that it was entirely impossible for his love to be reciprocated and has long given up on the other, deciding that he can't afford losing what they have now because of some stupid feelings as such. He'll never risk the long years he had spent with him, never, even if it meant watching the blond with all kind of girls flocking around him whilst his feelings goes unsaid.

Glancing to his friend every now and then, Colonnello beamed. "Well, you see, I had this instructor in COMSUBIN and I think it's a love at first sight! And that one month I've been gone, I was chosen to accompany her to a training camp in Brazil so it's been a busy month for me." he declared with a smile that was supposed to be meant for Tsuna only, or that's what the latter hoped.

Tsuna stared at him, eyes widening ever so slightly in surprise. He could also feel the clenching in his heart once the information had sunk inside his head. If this was ever a dream, then he no longer wants to be in here, but he knew better. "Tsuna?" Startled, Tsuna blinked a few times, realizing that he has been staring at his friend for a while now.

He broke out into a smile, where he got the courage to do so, he'll never know. "Ah, yeah, by the way, have you found a place to stay at?" Tsuna questions, trying his best to divert the conversation into something that will not break his heart apart more than it already have been.

At that, Colonnello raised a brow, noticing the strange changed in the mood, but shook off the thoughts. "Yeah, I'm going to stay at yours."

"Oh, at mine...WAIT WHAT?" the brunette gaped, almost jumping in his seat as he watched the other laugh at him before pulling up. Colonnello was the first to go out, he opened the door for the still frozen Tsuna afterward and pulled the latter out of the car, snapping him out of his stupor. "What do you mean by you're staying at mine? I mean, I didn't even know about your arrival! That, and I only have one room at my place!"

Colonnello just shrugged his shoulders and walked inside the café, and the smirk across his lips only made Tsuna want to punch the other. Staying under the same roof with Colonnello, alone? This is bad, really, really bad! "Reborn was the one who suggested it, and I see no problem with that, too."

'Reborn, you asshole! I'll remember this!' Tsuna thought as he let himself get dragged by the blond, and finally sigh in defeat. It's not like there's still something he could do about it, once Colonnello made a decision, he'll go with it no matter what. That doesn't mean that Reborn's not going to pay for what he did though. Oh, he would make sure that the man would experience humiliation he had never felt before.

It's my first try of Colonnello and Tsuna pairing, and to be honest I've been so addicted to them lately. But unfortunately, I only saw or have read fews of them here, well, it's a unique paring, after all. Kind of rare, that's why I'm writing this. Hope you like it, please review!
