Well, it happened... HIATUS FOREVER.
Why, after of zero updates on months, I finally decide write just to say 'Screw you, guys. I'm out'? Well... I don't like MHA anymore.
Yeah, that's it.
Let me explain. I'm a person who, after of watch a show, I rewatch it at the moment. I do that with uncontable shows: Digimon (1 and 02), Avatar: The Last Airbender, My Name is Earl, Miraculous Ladybug, etc.
But with the most recent ANIMES, I discovered a pattern: I like it, I rewatch it all the time and keeps on the fandom for months (Even for years at some cases). But then, I start to do a simple thing: Make me questions.
Ask myself "Why did they do that instead of that?", "What is the reason behind of that?", "How did they know that?" "Why does he/she appear now instead of before?... And while with occidental Cartoons I rarely have those questions, with the most recent animes (Animes released since 2010 to keep an idea) I just see FLAWS. I start to see that, instead of good characters, are horrible. Instead of see a cool concept, I see problems everywhere. Instead of understand the lore, it keeps more confusing...
And, you like it or not, MHA is a big example of that. And, with the recent choices of story, it makes it worse (Come on, they could change the name to 'The adventures of Midoriya, Todoroki and Bakugo' and it won't be any difference).
Midoriya wants to be a hero... But never. NEVER! did anything to try it. No training, no meditation, no weapons... NOTHING!
Bakugo... How the hell a bully can be loved?!
All-Might is like Dumbledore. Looks good, but keeps secret until the shit hits the fan FOR NO REASON.
Uraraka... Was necesary a love interest? Look Moana, Coraline, Abominable... Strong and fantastic female characters and the story knows that love isn't necesary to them.
And I could say more, but I'm tired.
You know? My favourite Shonen is 'Yu Yu Hakusho'. Why? The characters. Kuwabara was a kind of rival to Yusuke, but with the time, we saw how they transformed slowly on friends. Yusuke was strong in the real way. Kurama and Hiei were fantastic additions. The fights were larger and really good. The villains were a real SERIOUS BUSSINESS.
And that's all. Simply, I don't consider myself a fan of My Hero Academia anymore. In fact, I'll be honest and the last anime of this decade that I enjoyed has been One Punch Man, and because It reminds me a lot of to 'Bobobo' (Not to the absurd, but to the characters and concept).
Call me 'Old man' (Funny, because on 2 months, I'll be 21 years old), but I prefer the animes I grew up. Ojamajo DoReMi, were female characters were funny, cute and interesting instead of be the Sex Appeal; Black Jack (the 2004 anime), where the drama of a unlicensed doctor was interesting and unique, not something related with magic and absurd movements; Digimon, where the Isekai was interesting, the challenges and the risks were real and the main characters get mature thanks to the travel; Paranoia Agent, where the symbolism mean SOMETHING...
And look, I'm writting on an old notebook how it was going to be the main plot. In a future (Months, maybe), maybe I upload showing how it was going to be.
Right now, If I'm going to write something, It won't be related with anime anymore (Maybe something with Alita: Battle Angel, but I'm going to base it on the Rodriguez & Cameron film). Actually, I'm working on a X-Over, and It will finally the first and interesting work with no anime on it.
Sorry. Write hate on the reviews if you want (I won't blame you). And if something wants it to write for me, I'm ok.
Good night, and Good Luck.
